  1. If you look on the Roofbox site you can see that the dimensions are different between Saloon & Estate Saloon = 1190MM * 1050MM Estate = 1200MM * 1080MM Based on that I don't think you would get the nice perfect fit that this liner gives, I can confirm that I've received mine and that it's excellent.
  2. Hey @budster Thanks for the offer, but I actually clicked the order button yesterday and have the roofbox one incoming! It seemed to me to have a good deal of positive reviews and backed up by decent warranty. Good luck in selling it! looks like it's pretty much indestructible so should get a fair price for it. Cheers again, I'm in Swindon so it wouldn't have been too far either!
  3. Thank you both. That looks a good buy, the one on eBay. And definitely after a rubber one. This one looks decent. Just again in the pictures it shows it up to boot level but I know that won't be in mine. https://www.carmats4u.com/-13393/skoda-superb-hatchback-2015-boot-liner-mat-tray.html Or https://www.roofbox.co.uk/scripts/rbvehsel4_tab.php/boot-liners-mats/carbox_form_s_boot_liner_black_for_skoda_superb_saloon_201841000/Qx%40w%2C6M41V_VndbVhpeetSUTPXO%40V5IS6C2V2r7KoZ4Nn2~cAD7rDnnG{PqdgWgwVKtXIjgkpkdHAmwaU
  4. Hi guys, Just looking for your advice please. Picked up my new superb se l yesterday (saloon) 2.0 TDI. I've looked on many different places including the ones suggested in threads here. I'm looking to buy a protective cover for the boot but all the ones I can see seem to be for cars with a variable floor in the raised position. My car doesn't have this, and the boot is deep with a 6 inch drop which I don't see in any of the pictures selling these things. http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/SUPERB-III/Floor-mats-Carpets/ This place seem to have a good selection but I'm confused if I have a limousine or combi? Anyone else recently picked up a new 2020 version and can advise? Other things I have noticed....the CF card slot has gone, there is also no detachable torch in the boot, and I'm sure there should be a USB charging point in the rear but I only have a 12v. There is though a usb c in the front. Thanks all
  5. Mine was ordered Jan 20th, accepted by the factory mid Feb. Just had confirmation of build week now scheduled for week 35 (August 24th), and dealer then saying delivery in September. Lucky I ordered in January when my current lease car was going back in October.....talk about cutting it fine...and I've been pretty narky about the whole thing coming close to cancelling as concrete information was harder to get than finding rocking horse droppings!
  6. lates from the press is that plant closures now extended to 27th April. https://europe.autonews.com/automakers/latest-plant-reopening-dates
  7. I've read somewhere in the auto press that Skoda Czech are planning to resume production with effect from 20th April....presumable at this stage it will be on a lower workforce base with all the necessary distancing in place. Glad I ordered mine in January when my old car goes back in November.....still got half a chance it will go thru...and with the dealer taking on the px that is a worry I don't have.
  8. https://europe.autonews.com/automakers/skoda-start-czech-plant-shutdowns This also reported. Ah well.... Hopefully by summer time then.
  9. says skoda has reduced. I guess in the wider scheme of things, keeping you and your family safe is the primary thing here. I'm still being told provisional build week of 16....will check back in a week or so, and see if there is an update on that, I do know the superb is built at the Kvasiny plant, so I'll keep an eye out for that one being suspended.
  10. Thanks 👍 The clay is actually to get the old cars back to a decent level, before I return it, almost 4 years old and never been washed by my hands. It will help me get the detailing bug as I am determined to look after the new one properly. It's a car I want not one I have had to have.
  11. So after research, I'm going to make the investment into various items and see how it pans out. The key things seems to be good quality microfibers, and plenty of them, to dry and separate ones to buff with. I will practice on my soon to be going back corsa first....and then hopefully I will be in good shape to get a good base onto my new car shortly after it arrives. Meguirs Gold, Iron Off and Clay Bar, with Turtle Wax Ice Seal and Shine....will run with these for now and try out different things along the way thanks for all the pointers.
  12. Thanks everyone. I will not be purchasing the Lifeshine. I added a few things into the basket online yesterday and surprised myself at just home much the initial investment will be to buy all the right kit, and that doesn't include the snow cannon as I'll also need a pressure washer for that too.
  13. ah yes! thanks - I couldn't see that for trying. apologies for starting a new and unnecessary topic! lesson learned.
  14. For the first time in a long time, I will be getting a car that I actually am really looking forward to driving and keeping in good condition. For the last 10 years, every car I've driven/owned has been handed over to the sidestreet guys for a 10 pounds inside and out clean up, and whilst they have their merits it's no substitute for doing a bit of graft yourself. And so......I will be the one cleaning the new car after it arrives. Couple of questions therefore, as I need to invest in some kit to do this:- 1 - the dealer fitted "Lifeshine" package at GBP 500 is way too costly, and without guarantee of it being applied professionally anyway. So......with that in mind, what's a broad brush price to negotiate this down to, so that I have food for thought (I quite like the idea of having the insides scotchguarded or equiv). 2 - assuming 1 above remains a costly or undesirable option, what advice to you guys have on decent quality cleaning gear (anything from wheel cleaning to drying towels)? - I see decent reports of TurtleWax Ice Seal & Shine for the finishing touch, which seems also like a good cost option. Any pointers welcomed, or if you know of any recommended detailers in the Swindon area that would be useful. Many thanks
