  1. The Irony is I still have it. I'm not motivated by other vehicles and sit here thinking, well, at least I know it's history.. Having written that yesterday, I had an attack of pity and gave it a good clean.
  2. Elected to finance Mine, Halifax did a decent rate.
  3. You can also turn the volume down at the steering column while its talking. But only while its talking.
  4. Both front on mine reported misting at the first MOT and 20K Miles. Subsequently MOT failed on nearside 2 years later and 34K Miles, nearside replaced under warranty.
  5. Don't worry, if you dislike it now, given time you'll come to hate it. The only car I've ever had that leaks oil from it's dampers to "lubricate the seals" - that were presumably designed to keep it in.. That has constant low battery voltage ( we can sell you a battery charger...) That's cost me £400 in batteries in 5 years. But theirs nothing wrong with it, you just aren't doing enough miles... You only find out how low when it doesn't start at 5am when you need to go to the airport. That the cruise control takes a few days off at a time ( I now know it's battery related, but Skoda have never told me that) That the turbo actuator fails every couple of years. Where you only find out when you're overtaking a lorry.... The press love 'em. Iny words ( as the alarm was going off at 1am) I hate this car with a passion. Apart from all that, it's fine.
  6. My 2020 1.0 Karoq has just had EPC + Engine light come on, and now low power - Me to my wife - Its almost like I no longer have a turbo,,, fsh, 34000 miles. I guess i'm about to find out.
  7. Well it must be doing something right, 28k, 4 years and I still have it - in fact it's all mine - I paid the finance out. I got used to the engine in the end, mainly I was not getting in the right gear and being off the turbo at low speeds At higher speeds i adapted accordingly - the engine delivers it's performance in a reasonable way, I still maintain that it "flatters.." but I just got used to it. The suspension over ripples and the worsening pot hols and poor repairs still annoys me, and the high pitched squeak still occurs every few miles and i can't hear it and neither can the dealers.. I'll be honest, I don't love it, but I do appreciate it's versatility and functionality. I've contemplated getting an Ora Funky Cat ( now 03)- that's a car I could love! But wife doesn't want an EV and the Karoq walks the tip run hands down. So I suspect it's here for a while. And one for another thread, I put some Avon AS7 all seasons on last Nov - a good move given that winter was still in force up to last week. More on those to come.
  8. My wife can here a regular high pitched sound from new, it's still happening 3 years later. Daughter can hear it. Annoys wife greatly so she always drives with the music on. No one at the dealer can hear it. Like you my high frequency hearing is reduced, so I don't. From what my wife says it implies to me some relief of pressure, a concept I've discussed with the dealer, with as you might guess, no buy in that there's any issue.
  9. I was at similar figure to the OP northbound untill i reached the other side of Glasgow, hills and gears dont help. Still fairly healthy though.
  10. Mines misting too - 14K , nearside only. "light misting is normal" Apart from every other car i've ever owned.
  11. Looking at the wet grip rating on "all season tyres" theyre worse than original summer tyres and some budget replacements i.e Nexen. For 9 months of the year according to my local met office station, my average temparatures are over 10 degrees. Thus I compromise 2/3 of the year if i buy All seasons. - File under snake oil if you live in England. My next tyres will be Nexen Fera saving me £30 a corner against the bridgestones, and £80 a corner vs cross climates.
  12. Had a decent long run late august - West coast of Scotland and back. Apart from fuel being 7p a litre cheaper than nottinghamshire, I filled up inb Lochgilphead on the bank holiday and drove home, yesterday I did a return trip to stevanage on the A1 and this is my return leg from around 5Pm on the A1. 64.9 Mpg Overall consumption for the tank was 58.9 Mpg. Not bad I think!
  13. Just renewed my insurance for half the cost of the previous car. I'm smiling now.
  14. Now at 2200... Bosch Wipers on. Bloody lovely. Gets another chance to redeem itself on a 450 Mile journey (900 Round) in a few weeks. Got to say knocking around im warming to it.
