  1. Hi Andrewtyre, I had to use quite a significant amount of force on the lever before it released the lock. It was quite easy to push to a certain point then for the last 10mm it did take a decent push. Other people have more experience than I in these matters and I would appreciate their wisdom on this, but if I was in your position I would use a meter to check on the continuity of the wires and any that are suspect I would repair. The rubber boot between the door and car body is kept in place by fragile plastic clips so please be careful when removing. If the clips do break, use a mastic to ensure it’s waterproof. Sorry I can’t be of more help
  2. It turned out that the problem was within the unit itself. The actuator was working intermittently but wasn’t able to exert enough force to unlock the door. I used a large screwdriver and using quite a bit of force pushed against the lever circled. This unlocked the door allowing us to to remove the faulty lock. I hope this helps someone and thanks to firejinx. Kind regards John
  3. Hi firejinx 🙂 Thank you so much for your help. I have checked the wiring with a meter and everything appears to be fine, hence I think I have the same problem. I shall investigate how to remove the old actuator and fit a new one. Apologies for taking so long to respond, my computer is on a go slow. Best wishes, and thank you once again, John
  4. Hi did you manage to resolve your problem? I'm having the same issue. Does anyone know which wires do what on the central locking? I haven't seen any broken wires but it doesnt necessarily mean there isnt a problem. I was considering connecting a battery directly to the module. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Kind regards, John
  5. Thank you so much for taking the time to respond Ootohere 😊. I bought the door with the LF7W paint code. The car looks a mess at the moment so it’s got to be an improvement 😂 Thank you once again 👍
  6. Edit 😩 I’ve been told that the two paint codes are the same can anyone confirm this please
  7. Hi folks, can I thank everyone for their help over the years, you’ve been a great help. My 2011 combi has been damaged by a lady reversing into it. I need two passenger side doors. The paint code is 9559 but I’ve been told that paint code LF7W. Can anyone confirm or deny this please Many thanks once again
  8. Thank you for taking the time to respond. Yes it is Artic green 👍 I have searched EBay but there’s nothing available yet. I think my best option is to keep my eyes open on EBay. Thanks once again
  9. Hi folks I hope you’re well. An elderly neighbour has reversed into my car. Both passenger side doors are damaged. I’ve had it to a friends garage who confirmed the damage is limited to the doors but despite this if I went through the insurance the car would be written off. I would prefer to just replace the doors. If anyone knows of any doors for a 2011 combi pain’t code 9559 please let me know. Kind regards John
  10. Dear Hive Brain , I am having a problem with the 4 windows lowering completely. I assume that I have inadvertently activated this myself, but its a function that I don't use. I want to deactivate it but I'm not sure where it is. Where can I find this in vcds, please? Apologies for this but I cant find it by using the search function. (I know it is there somewhere!!) Kind regards, John
  11. bonjour, merci pour votre message. Oui, j'ai acheté VCDS.
  12. I went for the Gendan option. Thanks once again
  13. Many thanks 😊
  14. Could I ask your advice where to buy the VCDS system from please? I only need the basic version. Thanks 😊
  15. Can I just take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to everyone for their help. I’ve got the new sensor from LLL, fitted it and everything is clear on the display, no lights on the dashboard 😄. I still need to code the new injector so considering buying the VCDS as I intend keeping the car until it dies. Thanks once again
  16. Thanks J.R. Appreciate your input. I’ll just replace it and see how it runs. I appreciate why the sensor is there but what a pain when they fail. I wish there was a legal way to bypass it. Thanks once again
  17. Thanks for your help. I believe you’re right, I may be as well taking it to a garage as I don’t have the relevant software thanks once again 😊😊👍
  18. Wow that’s great once again I can’t thank you enough. I’ll have the car right soon hopefully. I just replaced another injector so that’s one less fault code 😂
  19. I have tried thanks and I’m only getting versions with similar numbers. They’re over £80 from the dealership 😭 Can I thank you and UrbanPanzer for taking the time to reply 😊👍
  20. Thanks so much, I took the entire unit off including the pipes and everything is spotlessly clean. Just having one pipe connected confused me, which is not difficult at the best of times 😂 Thanks once again. BTW I cleaned the wiring and connectors and again everything is spotless. I suspect it’s the sensor, any recommendations on a replacement please
  21. Please can I ask your advice please. The heater plug light started to come on every so often then it was on permanently. The engine light came on too. I had a diagnostic done, see pic. On investigation both pipes and dpf sensor were clean. However only the left ie large diameter pipe was attached to the exhaust. I’ve only limited space but can’t find where the small diameter pipe attaches to the exhaust. Any advice greatly appreciated 😊
  22. Thanks for your input Spartacus 68. I had the car checked by a person who I trust 100 %. He replaced the sensor at my request but the fault was still there. We deduced there was a break in the wiring harness. I checked continuity of the harness wiring from the sensor plug to the connector by the gearbox and all was fine. It went to an auto electrician who found a break in the wiring by the ecu. I removed the battery, battery tray, air filter assembly to gain access to the area myself and the wiring appeared perfect. As you know you can’t remove the connectors from the ecu without the proper equipment, which I don’t have. Altogether the repair cost me £145 including the sensor so not too bad. Thanks once again 👍
  23. Hi I’ve had the car into the garage and it’s been diagnosed with the fault P0113. The relevant sensor was changed but the fault is still there. I’ve checked continuity from the sensor wiring to the connector by the gearbox and all checks correct. I’ve taken the air filter housing battery and tray out and the wiring appears ok. Is there a fuse and if so where would I find it please? Many thanks
