  1. Depends in my opinion on how much its driven, if the car already has a good amount of miles on it then i would go for changing the dampers also, just because its convenient to do both at once, my car has the original dampers with the Eibach springs, not had any problems with the dampers, the car was driven 100tkm when i fitted them under.
  2. I would go with Eibach Sportline, my MY16 RS sedan sits nicely with them, not too low but like you wanted it filled the arch. You will also notice a good upgrade in how the car leans in corners, it feels a lot more stable, ive had them under now for approx 6 months and 30tkm and been really happy with the quality of them.
  3. D3S xenon light 42V/35W, if youre changing only one try to get a 4300k light as its as close to the original as possible in the whiteness
  4. 5E0853761A F9R was the partnumber for my pfl octavia, wasnt in Finland badly priced (around 50€) from the skoda dealer. Would go with it, then you can say its OEM+ 😁
  5. Tought i add my car here even if ive been on this forum for about a month already, itss still not completely as i want it but slowly getting there 😁 Skoda Octavia 2016 vRs tdi Had 100tkm when i bought it about a year ago, now 140tkm. Things done to the car: Camowrapped with 3m 1080 gloss black and gloss grey. Switched the mirror caps to blackmagic and the grille "surround" also. Tinted rear lights. Debadged the hatch. Painted front emblem with candyred All led interior lights Vw original led license plate lights Osram h11 Leddriving gen2 fog and turning lights. Eibach Sportline springs. Ats Radial 19x8.5 et30 with 225/35 that ive painted with bmw a90 color (sophistogrey) And some small mods here and there with vcds. To do list: Wrap the roof black. Paint new emblems black to the front and rear. Facelift rear lights. Paint the grilles and the rear "diffuser" and exhaust tips black. The car definitely divides opinions but hey, its built for me, never tought i would wrap a car 😁 atleast its easy to find from the parkinglots now 😂
  6. So i went with a dark gray color, A90 from BMW, known as Sophistogray, and can confirm also that 19x8.5 ET30 fits under without scrubbing, the car has Eibach sportline mounted to it and 225/35 tyres
  7. Microswitch in the bonnet lock, could start by checking is the wiring connector corroded
  8. If i remember correctly its with 3 bolts on the "inside" o its a disc off job, usually those bolts are corroded REALLY badly and takes work to get them of, if nothing else a easy way would be to cut the shield off as much as you can if you cant get the bolts and leave them for a later time to remove.
  9. Had a couple of similar cases at my work, ask them to check the inside of the boot (the area where the spoiler is attached), these cases of mine has had the corrosion quite bad on the inside of the boot, in these ive got Skoda to replace the complete boot also.
  10. So i got a set of wheels that i am going to refurbish and paint and install under my mk3 octavia vrs, now im having a hard time deciding the color for them. I have the ability to paint them at work so the color palette is whatever i want. Was thinking on going with a very dark gunmetal or black magic pearl from the skoda colors? (with black magic it would sit with the same color as the mirror caps and the front grille surrouding) Tell your opinion and maybe i will get a better idea 😊 the wheels are ATS Radial 19x8.5
  11. Through vibrations, no signs of rodents, thought on it also, but you could clearly see that the harness had rubbed itself on the inlet manifold. The harness has probably moved with heat by time closer to the inlet. (took a pic of the inlet manifold from the internet and marked the area the harness had rubbed on)
  12. So the problem was finally solved, the engine harness had chewed through a couple of wires at the intake manifold, (the thick wiring that goes down by the right side of the manifold).
  13. Thought i would share my problems with my 2016 Vrs tdi. The car is driven 140tkm. Completely stock engine. About a month ago the car felt a bit odd, the idling was a bit rough, no matter if cold or warm, just felt a bit wierd, the idling sounded also a bit wierd. So as i work at a Skoda dealership on the bodyrepair side it was easy to give it to the service side for a check. The car gave faults for cylinder 2 injector. They measured it and was confirmed that it was faulty. Cant remember what the faultcodes were back then. (can search them if anyone is interested). Well yesterday, 2000km later when i was leaving my workplace the car stuttered when starting, got 20 meters and it shutted itself off, leaving the glowplug signal blinking. Started the car again and the idle was very rough, felt like it was running on 3 cylinders. Took my bosch tester and searched for faultcodes. It gave P0202 Injector cyl.2 Circuit Malfunction... They took a quick look at it today at the workshop and it is starting to look like the ecm/ecu is faulty. Will know more tomorrow when we can contact the Skoda importer with the scans that they ran through the car. Will keep this updated until its fixed and write more deeply when i have the documents infront of me. (adding a pic of the car just for fun)
