    Thank you 😎

I won't be using mine as a track car... It's more of a fun road car to throw around 😁

The chain? I thought the EA211 was a belt driven and not chain?

I wrote chain ahaha 😂 and i wanted to say belt , anyways i have some knocking sounds and vibrations, hope i have some good news from my skoda mechanic today !!! If you want to have some fun with the car don’t spend too much money , invest them to karting or something else, believe me i’m tired of throwing money to cars..

    Very cool! 👍

What was it like to make the seat fit? Is it like a bolt on job or is there a lot of fabrication? Can't seem to find any info on upgraded seats for the MK3 Fabia...

Coilovers would absolutely be worth it considering its a track car, and here in the UK there is already a 1.2 TSI 90 (Ibiza) running circa 180bhp with a hybrid turbo from a 1.4! It will be a proper race car then!

From the AUDI A1 or IBIZA 6j you can fit everything !!! It’s not the best track car considering the 1.2 engine, and i have some reliability issues with the chain of the engine block (knocking sounds) so i might have to sell it !!!

    @xensnow Thats pretty awesome 👌

What front seat are you running? I'm trying to improve the driving position and would like to sit lower in the car...

I have the OMP-HTE-ONE i have it from my father's evo as a spare, but im going to change the coilovers to KW competition 2way  and maybe the turbo but im thining about it.

@xensnow whats your interior like? Have you stripped the interior?

Hey everyone, sorry i was away for a few days , i had some issues with the car in the track the past days but now i managed to make it work again, the car is a race car for our local national championship, roll cage and coilovers but stock brakes but upgrade pads and lines , power 150bhp for now, not downpipe just a free flow back exhaust, a small video, what would you like to know ?

😂😂 sunscreen is a must when working outside.. I too have installed the 1.4 turbo with my dad it took us 4 hours overall and there are minor changes to the car performance..but it deffinetly feels like the turbo is stressing much less and has more power to give.. now about the mapping, should i go to a tuner or do you think i should use an COBB accessport and e- tuning?

From my personal opinion and experience go to a tuner, i don’t trust those plug and play things !!!

  6. Hello everyone and good morning,

im thinking to put my front brakes in the back since i’m going to race open class and i’m installing a 4pot APracing brake kit, you think is going to work with custom brackets? Although i’m going to lose my handbrake or make it hydraulic im confused to this point...

I can't find much information on that one oddly, though given that Octavias have only 140/150ps flavours of the 1.4TSI, so it should.

Couldn't find any images of that particular part, but compatible alternative part numbers bring up other turbos of the correct, larger type.

Best off giving jbs a bell and seeing what they say.

You can just go simple hybrid 1.4 turbo without doing any other mods and get around the 200bhp mark. For 270 bhp you'll want to rebuild with new pistons and rods etc, and probably also go stage2 hybrid (gonna say 270 is most likely not achievable from just a normal hybrid 1.4 turbo), which will start to see much more turbo lag and probably impact the low-end torque in a negative way.

I mean, look at the JBS-IMS650 Turbo Kit for the 2.0TSI, that gets anywhere from 490-780bhp depending on which other mods you do beyond just the turbo.

    For long term reliability (and cost) like i mentioned in a previous reply, without any further mods, there's really 4 main options;

stock 1.2 turbo for ~130 ish depending on where you go

stock 1.4 turbo for ~160 ish (with a small cost associated with getting hold of such turbo - or no cost if you're lucky)

hybrid 1.2 turbo for ~180 ish (with the much larger cost of getting the turbo hybrided)

hybrid 1.4 turbo for ~200 ish (small cost of getting hold of the turbo + the much larger cost of getting the it hybrided)

Exhaust/intake will gain usually around 10bhp on top of that. Depending on how the map and turbo responds to it.

You may get more or less depending on how happy the tuner feels that day and which tuner you go to, plus some extra from an exhaust+intake.

Some tuners go balls to the wall squeezing every ounce of power they can from it, some like to play it safe and have a more reliable engine. Unless you're mostly just racing, a reliable engine is what you want.

For a cost/gain perspective, the stock 1.4 turbo is really great. over 50% more power and torque from stock, moreso coming from 90bhp model!

The 200bhp mark is where i'd stop personally, on stock internals anyway. And that would be with a hyrid 1.4 on its own with no other mods, just at the 200bhp mark. Saves on doing exhaust and stuff too.

The cost effectiveness of a 1.2 hybrid just isn't there, considering how close a standard 1.4 gets to it with much much lower cost, and how the hybrid 1.4 gets even more with only minor cost increase vs the 1.2 hybrid (though the 1.4 hybrid comes at the expense of slightly more lag).

    👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

after hearing all this information im starting to go towards only putting a 1.4 and mapping it without going hybrid on it .. maybe an exhaust and intake keeping it around 180-190hp .. i dont plan on racing the car i just want to have that extra power in my engine for when i need it on the road.

now i just want to make sure that i am getting the right 1.4 to match my engine..

The turbo of the 1.4 it has to be made hybrid i think, but just to give you an idea i’m running the factory 1.2 turbo and exhaust no downpipe etc and stock intakes (championship regulations) and i’m making 150bhp and it’s all safe and i’m beating the engine all day every weekend and some times as a daily.

I own a 1.2tsi mk3 110hp and i am looking for a hybrid turbo .. any suggestions where could i find one ? nobody in my area does anything of sort so my only option is to order it.. how does it work? do i need to send my existing turbo for a company to make it a hybrid turbo or do i need to buy one new? the only place i found online was HADDU performance i sent an email but no response..

    Hello.

So here’s the thing, you need a turbo from the 1.4 they are going to rebuild it and make it hybrid then you have to block the watercooler manifold with a plate, after that you need to install a new intercooler new downpipe and new mapping, maximum hp will be about 270, i will do the same thing but i’m going for 180-200bhp cause my NJ was build as a track car from our national SKODA FABIA championship. Check my post in (modifying you fabia page 34).

For more questions don’t hesitate, but remember, you also need some stopping power and stiffer suspension.

The rear wheel steering from the stock bushes gives slightly better maximum steering angle possible by reducing the angle of slip of the rears, but when they do break free, the tension in the bushes is released and it can quite violently kick out.

Stiffer polybushes may actually slightly reduce the maximum steering angle by a slight amount, but it is possible to ride the line of the tyres grip and it is much more predictable. Of course though, it also has a side effect of making the rear suspension slightly harsher, but for a track car that's no big deal.

I see, the water-cooled intercooler is a core which fits into that manifold from the front, so long as it's getting cooled from something (front mount i'd assume) then there shouldn't be any issue. The watercooled one is fine for up to 200 though, even more than that if were to seperate its coolant from the rest of the system.

I know a few guys with big-block LS chevies which have watercooled intercoolers between the turbo/supercharger and intake manifold. They generally make for cleaner installs as they often put the radiator for that somewhere under the rear bumper with coolant lines running behind heatshielding in the centre tunnel. Those things with big enough turbos kick out 1500bhp.

Front mount intercooler adds more space that the turbo has to fill before it builds boost, increasing lag.

Going beyond the hybrid turbo and beyond the 200 mark generally needs a bigger turbo still, that sacrifices much of the low-end torque in return for high-end power, and the lag increases somewhat too, combined with a front mount intercooler, you'll probably be nearing the rev limiter before boost decides to arrive.

Hmmm i see, well i will keep you posted and we will see, thanks for the info and your help.

I have first hand experience of this.  My first track day was in the dry but I didn't push it too much because it was of course my first time, but my second track day I did in February was in the wet and had a tenancy to step out violently and send me sideways round a corner.  I also then experienced this again in the snow in March this year.  Videos below:

2nd track day sideways moments:  https://streamable.com/rpfv5s

    Snow sideways moment:  https://streamable.com/9gyzsy

I used to do karting and my family is in rallying but i prefer the track much safer there hahaha but i can feel you !!!

  12. So i had a few talks and heres the deal, New intercooler and new hoses, they are going to block the manifold watercooler with a plate, all legit and proven that is safe (i have a photo for that, it's not mine to own it).

New turbo from the 1.4 and they are going to make it hybrid with a few bits and pieces (solid work and the engine 1.2L can make up to 270bhp if you are crazy, im looking around 200bhp for the track)

New downpipe and we can talk about resonate, i use it as a daily some times (track car life) new brakes from PB brakes and the color is amazing (i have a photo for that, it's not mine to own it) also i have todays video testing alghout it's raining and we tested the old suspension just to have a feel for it (blu power coilover very cheap 250 something like that but they are not great they are chinese).

You'll want to get that 1.4tsi turbo hybrided, should be able to get 210 ish out of that along with a good decat pipe and intake (about 30 more than the 1.2 turbo when hybrided about 180bhp), you miiight want to look at bigger injectors at that point. The turbo needs to be from a 140/150ps variant, otherwise its just the same as whats on your 1.2 already. Injectors i guess will be more of a hassle to find but id bet places like darkside development and jbsautodesigns can help you out there.

Powerflex bushes on suspension are great, i only did the large bush on the front wishbones and left everything else standard, you might get an improvement from the shock top mounts and arb bushes, but the large wishbone bush has the most difference (makes steering feel so so so accurate and responsive its amazing).

For the rear beam, you could go powerflex on the large pivot bushes there too, itll stiffen it up alot and make it easier to feel what the back end is doing but it might actually introduce oversteer sooner but itll be more controllable (the stock bushes have a little flex and they give a bit of rear wheel steering which actually helps to keep the wheels planted longer but may snap out more violently when it does)

hardrace do a nice arb upgrade for front and rear, 22mm/17mm front/back i think, stock is 18mm/0mm.

stx by kw coilovers are same as KW v1's, but don't have as good rust protection, they're height adjustable but that's it, if you want more you're looking at a more expensive kit from KW like v2 or v3. Idk any other coilover kits off hand (bilstein maybe but haven't seen anything more than the height-adjustable one)

I talked with a tuner here and he told me , to make a new downpipe then the 1.4 turbo he’s going to be refurbished and do some other changes (something about a hybrid i lost track there😑) , new intecooler he’s going to block the water cooler to install interooler , they said i can make like 250-80bhp but i don’t want to put much pressures to my engine, my old turbo they 1.2 is maxed right now to achieve the 150bhp 1.3 or 1.5 i can’t remember correctly uhm i think that’s it if i’m not wrong.

Something last , i will upgrade all the bushings to power flex ones the black series you think it’s going to be fine ? Track use only !!!

Future plans , front and back swaybars fronts from st suspensions and the coilovel kit back sway bar from white line and then aiming to 200hp from 1.4 tsi turbo !!!

The parts are all the same from the past model,

    VAG200M

    VAG210M

    VAG220M

I got mine from eBay as that was the cheapest at the time. Listed for Ibiza 6L or something but they're exactly the same part.

Darkside Developments have them, i haven't looked at any other sites though.

    Vibra Technics Mounts

    https://www.darksidedevelopments.co.uk/products/vibra-technics-engine-and-gearbox-mounts-for-seat-ibiza-vw-polo-skoda-fabia.html

    Quaife LSD

    https://shop.quaife.co.uk/skoda-fabia-02t-quaife-atb-helical-lsd-differential

Thank so much , i will upload track video by the end of the day !!!

Vibra Technics engine mounts. I did the gearbox and engine ones, and swapped the dogbone mount with a stiffer one from a diesel. Engine is very stable and it hugely improved the handling of the car. Idle is a tad louder and going past 4k rpms is louder too.

There is vibra technics dogbone too, but i had a powerflex dogbone bush in there before and that rattled the whole car at idle, the vibra might be better at absorbing the vibrations but for now at least i don't wanna try as i still daily it. The two other vibra upper mounts and a diesel dogbone have been great for me, i only get slight wheelhop when really trying hard in the dry from a clutch dump, but then again i'm still running 90ps map so that might change when mapped.

As for an LSD, Quaife do one and i've heard they are very good, our gearboxes are of 02T type so look for that when looking for LSDs.

    Thanks for the fast answer.

Do you have a web site so i can contact them for the vibra? Cause only i can find is for the past models !!
