I would like to to take this opportunity to thank Rustynuts for his help. Within 4 days (delays caused by weekend), he found the issue, solution and replaced my faulty RNS510 for  RNS510 DAB! Will you have any in stock shortly? How much for the unit and aerial? And of course your help and coding? What's the part numbers, so I'll try to find it if needed?

Local VAG specialist thinks that the main gateway is faulty (common issue on VAG cars) as got wet. He recommends gateway replacement. BUT, if gateway is not communicating with Columbus, should the head unit switch on by pressing the power button? Could I replace the current unit with DAB one? Straight swap? Any programing needed?

Hi,

 

looking for some advice. My RNS510 is acting a bit strange - not always powers up with the ignition on. Even pressing the power button does not start it up? Following day is fine, but again on next attempt to switch the engine is not starting. Any idea?
