Yellow Oil Warning light on dash
It was exactly 2.8 litres I put in after draining the old oil and replacing the filter. I'm unsure if I have the service indicator on fixed or variable. The indicator did come on months ago but I reset it due to doing my own annual service.

Yellow Oil Warning light on dash
The oil level was just at the higher end of 'B' using 5w30. I assume that I am using the correct filter? I purchased from Dingbro using my car reg details. It's the same type as I've used for the last 3 years. I've always replaced the old seals.

Yellow Oil Warning light on dash
Hi, could anyone tell me why the yellow oil light would show on my dash? It appeared last week then went off again. A couple of days ago, it reappeared and has been on until today when I changed the oil and filter. The oil level was fine before I changed the oil. Would the oil warning light also tell me that the oil (or filter) was needing replaced rather than topped up? I usually change the oil and filter in April....so I am a month later than usual.

Axle stand placement for front wheel removal

- Axle stand placement for front wheel removal
I'm hoping my placement for my axle stands on my Fabia was correct. I realise the dangers of incorrect placement but me and a mate had a good look whilst it was up on small ramps. Is there any issue where I put them??- Fabia Mk2 front wheel removal
Iβll bear that in mind for next time. Thanks guys- Fabia Mk2 front wheel removal
Got it thanks. A gentle persuasion with my Adidas trainer- Fabia Mk2 front wheel removal
Iβve got it on axle stands and the wheels chocked. Is my only option to put on the boots and give it a good kicking? No sprays or anything like that?- Fabia Mk2 front wheel removal
Hi can anyone give me some advice please. Iβve having trouble changing my front wheel. Iβve removed the 5 bolts and I thought that was all that was required. There is plenty clearance from ground. Do I need to remove the large nut below the plastic cap in the centre too? Am I missing something obvious? I canβt pull the wheel off- Axle Stand / Jacking Points on MkII Skoda Fabia
Hi Bob, just doing a general search for the same information as you requested although I see there are no replies. Did you get any further information regarding axle stand points? Cheers- Decided to attempt annual service by myself
Ah right. My apologies! Quite new to this forum as well. It's a great source of info- Decided to attempt annual service by myself
Hi there. Don't think there would be any issues with starting your own thread as you have a different car to mine. I posted this under the Skoda Fabia MK2 forum. Your query may get more views if it's posted in the relevant section. All the best- Decided to attempt annual service by myself
Thanks, Ill try in Dingbro.- Decided to attempt annual service by myself
Thanks Mick, ill buy that via your link. Cheers- Decided to attempt annual service by myself
Im searching for 5w30 oil to buy and the price difference can be huge. What would be the difference between...say...this Shell Helix at around Β£28 https://www.carparts4less.co.uk/p/shell-helix-ultra-professional-af-5w-30-5ltr-521772611?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI0vXf3t6a6gIViKztCh30ogAaEAkYASABEgId7fD_BwE ....or..... this much cheaper type... https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/1777907321?iid=303081769191&chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=710-134428-41853-0&mkcid=2&itemid=303081769191&targetid=910259638509&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=1007321&poi=&campaignid=10195652606&mkgroupid=101938389037&rlsatarget=aud-381667280803:pla-910259638509&abcId=1145987&merchantid=113584551&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI0vXf3t6a6gIViKztCh30ogAaEAkYBCABEgLUAfD_BwE I understand that some oils will be higher quality than others. I drive roughly 9000 miles per year. I dont want the price to be my only deciding factor. Any tips please?- Decided to attempt annual service by myself
Wow two superb in-depth replies. What a fantastic source of information this site is!. In reply to roottoot.........looking through the old paperwork, it looks like it had a service at 8519 miles and 17598 miles. I bought the car at 33000 miles. I then got it serviced (42980 miles) at the next MOT and also got the timing belt changed. I am unsure wether the brake fluid has ever been changed. Thank you for all your other invaluable info. In reply to Mickmartin.....again thank you for all your invaluable info. Iβm actually looking forward to giving it a go... One other thing, what would be the best type of oil when I do change it? The engine code is CGPA. Looking online it seems to be 5w40?? Would you agree with this? - Axle stand placement for front wheel removal
