  1. Filter was Mahle OC593/3 tightened to 20Nm. Every other oil filter I do is as tight as I can get it by hand but I understand it is a bit more critical on this engine. When I took the filter off the bush was only in the filter a fraction of a turn as it was wobbling about. That's what initially drew my attention. I must say I'm reluctant to use any solvent on there but I dare say brake cleaner would evaporate pretty quickly.
  2. Changed the oil the other day and the threaded bush came out with the oil filter. Luckily I noticed before I threw it in the bin. Should I screwlock it into the block or just keep an eye on it in fututre?
  3. I read earlier in this thread about the Mann oil filter W 712/94 being recommended. I looked it up and see it is advertised as having two non-return valves. How does that work? Do the Mahle filters that I have been using only have one?
  4. surprisingly not: http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/connects2-ct27aa158-male-fakra-female-fakra-with-phantom-feed-20cm
  5. Thanks Rustynuts, so much for the Fakra colour coding. The Autodab unit doesn't supply phantom they tell me so I'll need to buy a phantom injector unit.
  6. I've managed to get a DAB/FM antenna off a Polo, part number 6R0035501A. It has two Fakra connectors, white and black. I know from the Fakra colour code that the white one carries the phantom power. Am I correct in assuming that the white one is FM, so it will continue to get phantom power from the Bolero? I'm intending to fit an Autodab SWC box for DAB. Dave
