You are right. That is 30 sec using VCDS.. A simple coding in 5F it you dont have a canton. If you update, you wont loose that setting.

Both is possible. Current is 0480.

0480 is current. pab567 will for sure share a link for that version. Android Car and Apple CarPlay is integrated in every version of the firmware (if your Nav has Navigation). Eighter you ask your VW Dealer for a SwapCode (you have to pay for that) or you try to hack the unit. If you are thinking about hacking the unit there are several other topics in this forum with manuals to do that.

Why is none of them working? How do you try to update your MIB? Did you try to use the Update button on the screen shown or did you use the update function shown when you push the menu button for 10 seconds?

Go to System Information in your MIB Menu and Post Partnumber and Version of Hardware and Software like you see in all the other pictures...

This is a thread for requesting firmware updates - not for patching requests. Please do not flood this thread !

Thats because you are using the wrong software update funktion. Do a long press onto the menu button and use the than showing service menu to update your unit.

Yes, using it now for like 5 months. no issues so far.

Extract to root. Metainfo has to be in the root. format has to be fat32. use sd card.

Push the menu button for like 10 sec and you will find the update option. Use that and you will succeed. good luck 🍀.
