  1. Not in my case. I have the neck of the Westfalia towbar in all the time and it doesn't interfere with the parking sensors at all.
  2. Tyres are the factory fitted Bridgestone Potenza RE050A in 215/40 17
  3. So my wait is over. PF Jones finally delivered the Westfalia Detachable towbar I ordered. Fitting was pretty straight forward, I might need to trim the bumper a bit more though. Wiring the 13 pin dedicated electrics was as to be expected. A lot of the interior out, and the CAN connection behind the dash was a pain. Overall really happy with everything though.
  4. Gumdrop, you did well to get your towbar from PF Jones. I ordered the same Westfalia Detachable towbar from them on the 11th August and I'm still waiting for it 3 months later!
  5. Isn't there a loop beside the neck on the right hand side? Up on the main beam of the towbar?
  6. Thanks! Does look a bit untidy from down there but as you said from a normal angle it would look better.
  7. That's great! Do you have any photos of it installed? Thanks
  8. I got a 215/40 R17 on a full size Monte Carlo 17 inch Torino rim in the boot no issues. The tool tray was a little loose so I got a strip of foam to fill the gap. Not in the photos. Boot floor sits completely flat when down so no issues there.
  9. Also forgot to mention check your VIN label for the rated towing capacity (B) as per the owners manual. My Monte Carlo has an 1,100kg difference to the GVM (A) which means its capable of towing.
  10. I came across these images on Autotrader when looking to see what towbars people had fitted to their Monte Carlos. It looks to be a Genuine Skoda towbar. These aren't available in Australia so I've ordered a Westfalia towbar instead. My towbar hasn't arrived yet (they sent me one for a VW Eos by mistake) so can't comment on fitment of the Westfalia bar on a Monte Carlo just yet. But from all the research I've done most makes will fit, you just need to be careful cutting the hole in the black diffuser. I did find that Towtrust Towbars are listed as fitting the Monte Carlo, but once again not available down here.
  11. These aren't photos of my car but found them on Autotrader. Looks like a Skoda Genuine towbar fits and clears a Monte Carlo rear bumper.
  12. Hi Aftershock45, I've been looking around for a towbar to fit my Monte Carlo estate as well. I found Shawry85 made a comment saying they'd had a detachable towbar fitted to a Monte Carlo. Would be great to find out what brand it is. Keep me updated if you find one that fits. Cheers,
  13. What brand towbar did you get fitted? Also do you have a photo of it installed? I'm looking to fit one to my Monte Carlo and it would be great to see the finished product before I order one.
