  1. Hi everyone. I am a proud owner of a 16MY Superb L&K 2.0 TDI. Only had one drive in it but loving it already. I can see that I probably don't have traffic signs coming on my dash. The ACC with Lane assist is amazing and I want to take it one step further with PCC. Is it possible to be added to my car? If yes how do I begin. Thanks
  2. Hi, I test drove a 2015my superb the other day and I am really convinced that I want it. Due to my budget and my need to have have the extra safety/comfort features, I am resided to having a car most would consider high mileage (80k+ or 120k miles). I will be going for SE-L with the added options or the L&K non-4x4 2.0 Tdi (150ps) DSG and most likely hatchback. With that in mind, I would like to understand common issues that can occur with a car of that age. Chances are battery issues (some superbs) / trim issues (door trim / glove box) would be resolved by now. Looking for people who have had a long term experience with these. Does the DSG still go strong after that many miles? Things I should be checking for in the used car specific to the superb? Potential don't touch / find another vehicle Any tips or pointers are much appreciated.
  3. It would be great if you could upload some schematics..
  4. I don't understand how so many non L&K came with cameras fitted, even though the brochure states that only when you have lane assist / traffic sign recognition / traffic assist. They don't sound like things you'd desperately want to install as an additional item, except lane assist. But many have been able to code lane assist into their cars because the camera is there
  5. I'd just like to understand, if the se or se-l variants as factory standard come with an a5 camera. Could some check if it was fitted by default on their cars?
  6. So still nothing, if you have standard lane assist and want to return it into active, would it just be coding...
  7. The drunk driver version is standard lane assist in most cars, has very little input to the steering, where it will vibrate the wheel or nudge in the opposite direction. Where as adaptive will actively make small adjustments to keep the car centred.
  8. That's the ambition, superb generally come with ACC and I am looking for dsg as well.. acc with active lane guidance ..
  9. Why just why lol? It can never be simple.. I probably should have mentioned, that I wasn't intending on buying brand new but rather used, 2015+ but most likely pre 2017, which means se / se business, se - l executive or l&k. There is better availability of the se-l as I also want leather interior, so probably the one I intend on going for. That is a lot of information, thanks for the links.. I contacted the vagretrofit guy and all they said was any facelift model, yet to receive feedback on the hardware requirements. Said it would be better of it was 2016, that's all.
  10. Yes i understand, a lot of people have a love hate relationship with a lot of recent systems. I know some people who hate the start stop system. I have this fantasy of semi auto pilot with ACC and lane guidance, I travel often along a nice stretch of road with clear markings so am hopeful it will work well.
  11. Planning on buying a superb, however majority of them don't seem to have lane assist let alone active lane assist. Therefore I'm thinking of retrofitting it after purchase. I don't want to strip half the car to do it was hoping maybe if you have the following already in the car it's a case of just coding it on. Second to this, are there any trim levels other than L&K (UK) where it comes standard ?
  12. I haven't no, not a fan of the old shape. Plus I think less age more miles are better cars cars too buy.
  13. Hi All, new here. I am considering leaving BMW and moving for a larger car. I have set my eyes on a superb 2.0 dsg. Some of the things that I am looking to have are.. ACC, Traffic Jam assist, lane assist would be nice too, but i'm not sure if that is already a prerequisite for Traffic Jam assist. I don't know if I am saying it right but by traffic jam assist i mean the ability for the car to accelerate from stationary and then come to a complete stop by itself like in bumper to bumper traffic. The obvious question is, how do I know the car has these features without physically navigating the menus. Bear in mind I am looking at them remotely. the ACC is relatively easy as I'm sure the majority of them come with it as standard. Also anything I should be aware of or wary of, I'm planning on buying 2015+ with 80k+ miles. Thanks a lot!
