L & K missing features
Okay so first time I tried it as usual it kicks in after when I was over 40mph.. I have a feeling that the green lane assist signs came on before when I was below 40 mphs too, but I cannot be certain. However now (I haven't really tried in the motorway) it doesn't. However after reaching over 40mph and then reducing the speed below to say about 35, the LA stays on until it cannot detect anymore again. So I have to ask the question again, does TJA only work after you've reached a speed of 40mph and then slowed down or should it work driving off from a stand still regardless of speed.

Android Auto Smartlink
It is a rather peculiar problem and if you go on the google forums you can see I am not the only one who has this issue. People have been describing a similar issue for newer updates of google auto. There is a visual confirmation of the system is listening to you, which doesn't occur when I claim its not working. Lets see, I will get to the bottom of this.

Thanks for that. So i tried this yesterday. Played some music, after which tried speaking but it still didn't work. But after about 5 minutes i tried again, and it worked perfectly every time, until the next time i turn the car off.

Upgrade to Lane Assist and Road sign recognition?
A lot depends on which group you go to. Unfortunately, gives "Skoda" a bad name. I would try another Skoda group. I find the smaller groups to be more helpful, like Hortons, All-Electric. Just so I have this clear, you don't see the 2 lanes on your dashboard and when you go press Car>Settings>Driver Assist Features, it isn't there?

Wireless Android Auto FL Superb III
There is a product coming out called AAWireless which serves this purpose and it is $55 dollars at the moment, shipping starts in December. It doesn't bother me that much because I use this opportunity to charge my phone.

That was my first thought. However, when you talk you can see the colourful bars oscillate, however they don't. But if there is a lack of connection after initial oscillation, you get loading / circles spinning to show connecting server. Unless I'm mistaken.

I will test this today. Maybe play something through it first to see if it comes "alive" after. Out of curiosity autoplay music is using native android auto or something like tasker?

Android Auto Smartlink
I have a rather peculiar issue here, wondering if someone else has had this issue. I am quite certain this is google issue. So my mic in the car works (If i connect via bluetooth), when i Receive calls I can pick up and the other side can hear me. Now in the car if I say "hey google" or "okay google" (whilst connected via usb to android auto) the voice assistant activates waiting for me to say something. But when I talk it doesn't register. Now here is the really peculiar bit... It does start working after a while of me fiddling trying to get it to work etc. I'm not sure exactly what triggers it to start working, but it does. so, any ideas? I believe I have a Columbus MIB2, the part number is: 3V00335020C

That's some great info there. I knew about the 3m tape/lens cover. Just thought it wouldnt look authentic. I'll look at tps, never knew that one before. I'll phone ecp but their online website doesn't have anything on it. Tell me about the scrapyards! I enquired only 1 got back to me for £156 used!

Now I'm upset even more! I don't have a TV tuner either!! Isn't it true that tja 1.5 you can stop for 13 seconds? In that case I will test this and report back. Where i live, the town roads don't exactly have road markings on both sides usually, only in the centre.

Broken tail light
Thanks guys. Was kind of hoping to get away doing it cheaply. Functionality still exists. Thinking of getting a Dremel out and getting rid of the red bits left and put a new red plastic on top instead.. Need to find the right plastic and it's curved which makes it slightly more difficult

L & K missing features
I recently purchased a Skoda Superb. I got the L & K trim thinking that it would contain all / most of the driver assist features. One of the main reasons for getting the vehicle was for the driver assist features. I know that there is no traffic sign recognition, disappointingly, however I don't think there is traffic jam assist either. I have a dsg lane assist is on with adaptive as well as adaptive cruise control, which independently both work. However co me omg down from 60mph to a stop I am sure I wasn't stationary for longer than 13s and I had to press the pedal for it to go again. I've looked at the "sticker" in the boot and none of the options on there indicate to anything related to lane assist or anything. So looks like I may have to get / borrow vcds to turn them on. But before I do, is there anything I can do to check further. Is there some Skoda vin build spec decoder I can use to check what features are in the vehicle? Maybe one of the lovely members here have access?

Would you be kind enough to link it please. I cannot even find any tail lights on superskoda. Search doesn't return anything either. Assuming the bottom one is the newer (E) version?

Broken tail light
Unfortunately my tail light inner left on the tail gate is cracked / broken off. The benefit of living in the UK and the LED high type, is that it is specific to the UK, assuming it has something to do with fogs. So can someone explain the difference between: 3V5 945 307 D and 3V5 945 307 E. Seems like D variant is widely available and the E variant less so. Alternative is if anyone knows the exact colour of the red plastic bit that covers it, I am more inclined to just cover it up since there are no LED inside just a reflector in the broken part. See image attached. Open to any suggestions as well.

Negotiating new insurance mid policy
My original quote was on the back of my renewal quote(another company) with a discount. I have done a direct comparison. Online now, I am getting ~630 as the best price same number of years of NCB. I redid the quote on my original car and it came out at £690 Some how my insurance always goes up every year and I have to fight them to get it down again even though I have had no accidents Put his in perspective 2 years ago, renewal was £530.

Negotiating new insurance mid policy
I have just got a second hand superb 16MY. I have the dreaded task of changing over my policy to the new car. I am trying to assess if it is worth retaining my no claims bonus (5 months left till renewal) or get a new policy. Last month I queried on whim for a Skoda Superb and was told it will be ~£90 extra for the remaining 5 months or so. This has me baffled the superb is 10 insurance groups lower than my current car! I feel like they have me over a barrel as I either pay up or go walkies and lose my NCB. To give you an idea my original policy was £505 so working it out that comes to an extra £213 for a car that has more safety features and a lower insurance group.

Can predictive ACC be retrofitted to a non-facelifted Superb?
Oh well, cant have everything. Lane assist + ACC is pretty decent enough.

Predictive Cruise Control on 16MY
Don't mind paying for a fec. Seems like all the functionality already exists there, just needs to be computed. I saw earlier in a forum someone mentioning that pacc had been retrofitted by a group of coders?

Mind sharing the group or details?
