Fabia Mk1 Gear / transmission oil viscosity and change interval?
some update : i have asked liqui moly support and they told me that i need this oil : https://products.liqui-moly.com/oils/high-performance-gear-oil-gl4-sae-75w-90-1.html and they also said that i need gl4 oil because the gl5 variant may cause issues the local oil dealer told me that i have to use this oil: https://products.liqui-moly.com/oils/top-tec-mtf-5100-75w.html another one told me that i need this: https://www.motul.com/en/en/products/gear-300-75w90 its getting more confusing because the first one does not have the oem G052512A2 listed as an alternative but the another liqui moly does and the motul is a gl4/5 one

Fabia Mk1 Gear / transmission oil viscosity and change interval?
as far as i remember the drain is on the side and the fill is on the other side but i may be wrong also lifting the front at home would be problematic,i can only lift one side with my jack, not the whole front

what i found so far is the liqui moly 75w oil has both listed as an alternative so if i wont find the genuine oil,ill probably go with that the quantity is less than 2L right?

thanks now the only question remains what is the difference between the G052512A2 and the G060726A2? i could not find any further info if it is interchangeable with each other also searched for the G052512A2 and it seems more rare than the other

i think the bearings are fine.im talking about the end gasket where the driveshaft connects to the gearbox.it has some oil int it so im suspecting the gasket is leaking

yes its a 2006 car yes the site you have linked suggests the G052512A2 instead of the G060726A2 but i havent found any further info what is even the difference :(

well, the end of the driveshaft is a bit covered in oil at the left side of the gearbox which probably indicates that the seal is on its way out but other than that is works fine what do you think?do i have to change it or its not that urgent? how difiicult is it?does the gearbox has to be disconnected to change it,or after an oil drain,it can be replaced in its place?

well in the uk maybe, but not here :( as i wrote in the frist post i have found many 75w80 and 75w90 oils marked as compatible with the oem one i would like to be as close as possible to factory oil because i heard that gearboxes are very sensitive to oils so in the first place i would like to know the factory one is 80 or 90? or do any of you have experience with any specific aftermarket oil proven be good? yes i have checked the drain plugs as i saw theres 2 versions available.the spline and the hex one.its the h17 hex
