  1. some update : i have asked liqui moly support and they told me that i need this oil : https://products.liqui-moly.com/oils/high-performance-gear-oil-gl4-sae-75w-90-1.html and they also said that i need gl4 oil because the gl5 variant may cause issues the local oil dealer told me that i have to use this oil: https://products.liqui-moly.com/oils/top-tec-mtf-5100-75w.html another one told me that i need this: https://www.motul.com/en/en/products/gear-300-75w90 its getting more confusing because the first one does not have the oem G052512A2 listed as an alternative but the another liqui moly does and the motul is a gl4/5 one
  2. good idea, ill buy a pair thanks for the help
  3. as far as i remember the drain is on the side and the fill is on the other side but i may be wrong also lifting the front at home would be problematic,i can only lift one side with my jack, not the whole front
  4. um.the drain plug is on the side,so how does lifting the front help ?
  5. thanks for the help.ill give it a try when the weather improves a bit i made it without lifting our agila, ill try it that way too
  6. what i found so far is the liqui moly 75w oil has both listed as an alternative so if i wont find the genuine oil,ill probably go with that the quantity is less than 2L right?
  7. thanks now the only question remains what is the difference between the G052512A2 and the G060726A2? i could not find any further info if it is interchangeable with each other also searched for the G052512A2 and it seems more rare than the other
  8. something like this but mine is way less dirty.its not dripping just oily
  9. i think the bearings are fine.im talking about the end gasket where the driveshaft connects to the gearbox.it has some oil int it so im suspecting the gasket is leaking
  10. yes its a 2006 car yes the site you have linked suggests the G052512A2 instead of the G060726A2 but i havent found any further info what is even the difference :(
  11. well, the end of the driveshaft is a bit covered in oil at the left side of the gearbox which probably indicates that the seal is on its way out but other than that is works fine what do you think?do i have to change it or its not that urgent? how difiicult is it?does the gearbox has to be disconnected to change it,or after an oil drain,it can be replaced in its place?
  12. i have found the sticker but which code is the gearbox? maybe the GSB 9462?
  13. thanks i dont have high hopes, usually factory oils wont say much
  14. well in the uk maybe, but not here :( as i wrote in the frist post i have found many 75w80 and 75w90 oils marked as compatible with the oem one i would like to be as close as possible to factory oil because i heard that gearboxes are very sensitive to oils so in the first place i would like to know the factory one is 80 or 90? or do any of you have experience with any specific aftermarket oil proven be good? yes i have checked the drain plugs as i saw theres 2 versions available.the spline and the hex one.its the h17 hex
  15. well,on our vauxhall agila the factory recommendation for transmission fuid is every 40k yes,it does not get contaminated but every oil brakes down.i cant imagine that after 150k and 15 years it can be still as good as new
  16. hi.thanks for the reply i do think that at 170k miles it must be pretty worn lifetime change seems way too optimistic for me like the 15-20k oil change intervals.im doing 8k intervals at most also topping up is also risky because who knows what brand oil it has, topping it up with different one sounds like a bad idea for me
  17. hi guys can you tell me what is the suggested change interval of the gear oil? i found everything between 50k and and lifetime so im a bit confused what is the correct oil? its a bme 1.2l engine does the G060726A2 is the correct one? as far as i get it only the 6 speed version in vrs models need the pricy way more expensive one? does this oem oil is semi or full synthetic? also what is the correct visosity? 75w80 or 75w90?many opposing info about that everywhere also i have searched for alternatives since the oem one is pretty rare here what i found supposedly compatibe so far is the : Liqui Moly Top Tec MTF 5100 75W -strange that its just 75w no second number.. Motul Gear 300 75W-90 Fuchs TITAN SINTOFLUID SAE 75W-80 thanks
  18. here is the lock cylinders.the only difference is the end part curved differently does it matter? https://i.imgur.com/6HoYdoj.jpg https://i.imgur.com/NWOHIzm.jpg https://i.imgur.com/ifQ7UoC.jpg https://i.imgur.com/f614GF8.jpg
  19. thanks.my original idea was to route the wires back at the middle then split at the back but maybe ill run the wires at the side
  20. i see.thanks how aout the lock cylinder? does the 2006 fabia and 2008 octavia cylinder compatible?
  21. does it the proper way? i tought that there is a dedicated duct somewhere
  22. does anyone know where to route the cables to to rear speakers? also i found a lock cylinder for my door on flea market which advertised as for octavia 2.it looks the same as in my fabia 1.does the lock compatible?
  23. i know i want to know where to route the new cable
