The Kamiq has been thrown outside temporarily whilst I prepared the boss's car for winter. all done now and pretty pleased with the result of two days work. Hope you agree. Steve

the more i drive it the better and smoother it gets. took it in this morning re sos warning re passenger airbag, needs an actual replacement part ( not in stock) . had a steady ish drive there and back sticking to limits mostly 110 kph as mostly dual carriageway. averaged 47.4 mpg for round trip including town stop start stuff, so well impressed as it has only done just over 600 kms now and engine still tight. love it, feels more lively and responsive and less ponderous than the old Karoq and actually only a few inches difference in size but less height which must affect cog. well happy

no, not really, all ranges of suv's seem a bit like russian dolls these days, only so much you can do with a shell five doors and acheive the amount of space you need and get economy figures governed by wind tunnel tech, citroen id very different

Hi there, thank you for the reply, the language had deferred to french as it was purchased in France. luckily I've now sorted it and also done a system reboot thereby solving the Front Assist defect. the passenger Airbag won't go out after several attempts to switch on and off, so taking it in tomorrow to my dealer to analyse what is causing problem. I suspect software rather than hardware fault. In any case I appreciate your reply and thank you for it. regards Steve

Hi, hope someone can help. got an error message on my screen SOS Airbag and Front assist fault. So thought i'd do a factory reset to see if it cured the problem. only trouble is it has defaulted back to french and I can't seem to access right screen to reset language to english. any help please appreciated regards Steve ( if you can tell me how to reset on an english car it would probably help me navigate all the screens)

Yes, and it's brilliant, again to judge by size is a flawed theory, LED tech ensures excellent visibility, and I drive a lot on unlit country roads. You don't have to imagine how something is if you try it first.

I would never judge another's purchase decision as strange, without knowledge of the decision making process,you may see it as a downgrade, I don't, hence my purchase. Purchase decisions are not only objective,but subjective too. I also run a citigo and new fiat ducato campervan. all bought for differing reasons. As for your assertion of the Kamiq being, relatively, a tiny tin can, shows a real lack of appreciation of the car itself. I've run 6 Superbs over the past ten years, great cars, but then I did long distance stuff, carrying a lot of gear, I find the Kamiq a much more pleasant and responsive car than the Karoq, and very Golf like to drive ( hardly a tin can I feel). If you judge cars by square footage of sheet metal as the overriding criteria, I think it's a flawed process. Horses for courses, as they say, and each to his/ her own. over the years I've driven most stuff, from basic ( austin 1100/ ford escort) to exotic ( Citroen SM/ Maserati's) low and high performance. Apart from a WartburgKnight with Zero brakes, I've learned to appreciate what makes a car, but don't criticise other's choices as they are personal decisions!

I agree re all season tyres, but I suppose the factories are tied into contracts negotiated on bulk supply basis. Just as an aside I changed to Micheline Cross Climates when I had my 2017 superb hatch, and it transformed the car, deadly accurate steering response and wet weather grip amazing. never had opportunity to drive in snow, but the ratings are good, I will definitely put them on the Kamiq when the time comes to change

Hi JR, the Malus charge was 280 euros, the carte grise 414.76 euros and the delivery pack 390 euros ( nice little earner). The options list seems to be worked differently here and different from that as advertised on Skoda Fr. website, but being as the figures worked in my favour I accepted them! regards Steve
