  1. Sorry I assumed you mean the MK2 vrs seats and the MK2 Monte Carlo seats. They're the same just different stitching and they're just not comfortable for me, just personal preference.
  2. They're pretty much the same as the monte Carlo seats, that I have and don't like them.
  3. Was this a simple straight swap just bolt in and out? Assumming these are from a polo GTi 6c as well. Cheers for the info, i am looking into doing the same. They do look so much better.
  4. Is there any relation between the LUCAS / TEVES systems and the TRW / ATE that you are aware of? I assume the older models or smaller power engines with smaller brakes use the TRW and therefore the LUCAS. Then newer models or higher power engines use the ATE and therefore TEVES. I am also looking to upgarde my fronts from 288 to 312 and based on info from this thread i am assuming i only need carriers and discs, i.e. same calipers and pads can be used as i have the newer ATE (2013 model) and it looks like my calipers are TEVES. Thanks for info btw, very helpful. Please excuse the bodged and dirty caliper paint.
  5. Sometimes being the key word. I have a mk2 1.2 petrol 105HP which has 288mm front brakes from the factory, however it is the monte carlo trim.
  6. Probably to do with the costs and budgets, drums will be cheaper to manufacter and install so depending on the cars variant / budget will depend on the components used? This is just a assumption. Also, depending on how the manufacter wants the veichle to look out the factory, many prefer the look of disc brakes to drums. So to at least try and answer the question, I am guessing it's for aesthetics, avaliability of components and the costs associated with these (this might be why they swap bewteen the two). Obviously depending on the country each veichle may be designed and manufactered slightly different. If that makes any sense
  7. Nice one, cheers for info . I'll keep my eye out on ebay for a decent set.
  8. Sorry to bring this back. @LMG I have a 1.2tsi monte that came with 288mm fronts stock. Wanting to upgrade them to 312mm now. Am i right in saying i just need 312 carriers, discs and pads. And the calipers for 288 and 312 are the same? Or is this not the case and in order to change i also need 312 calipers? Getting confused after speaking to many different people about this. You seem to know what you're talking about after already doing this upgrade. Just been looking at 312 carriers from mk1 audi TT, mk2 a3, mk1 occy, mk4 golf. Don't know if there's a Seat that is also on that platform? Planning on leaving the rear drums as they are, only going upto around 150bhp so they're sufficent. Also if anyone here has front 312mm calipers / carriers for sale, i am interested. Planning on getting them installed for summer 2021.
  9. I have a 2013 monte and I'm not a fan of the front seats, wanting to swap these out but not sure what will fit. Potentially some vrs mk1 seats if they fit. Maybe a certain trim of polo or golf? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  10. Does anyone have the link for the above armrest with that specific fitting? The only ones I can find are drilled into the plastic centre console.
