  1. Found a video that worked though mine was still slightly different a few more steps to go though. But got it done. Will leave this here in case anyone else may need it.
  2. How do I reset the Service now warning on the Skoda Fabia VRS mk2? I've done it once in the past but can't remember how and I can't find the guide that I followed last time. I tried following one saying to hold a button, turn the car on and then press another button and it didn't work and that doesn't feel like what I did last time, I'm sure I had to go through some menus to reset it.
  3. I hope that's it. the issue hasn't happened since the day I changed the battery. I'm still going to keep and eye on things just in case.
  4. It hasn't happened since that day. before I changed the battery the car started fine as well. so I'm really unsure what it was.
  5. Yeah, like I said. I'll have another go tomorrow trying to push it down a little further but it really didn't want to go on in any other way.
  6. I got a new battery today and just got finished installing it. The battery is smaller than the one I removed but according to multiple sites it is the correct battery for my car. the plastic clips don't connect to the battery like they did to the last one. the positive connection doesn't fit as snug as it did on the previous battery either. I also couldn't get the battery blanker/cover to fit around this new battery. after installing the new battery there were no issues aside from having to set the clock. I am still unsure what the starting issue was though (shown in the video in my original post) if anyone knows what it might be please let me know!!
  7. Thanks I appreciate the tips. And as for the plastic cover it doesn't bother me too much.
  8. got a copy of the owners manual as a pdf. and had a look though.
  9. I think I've figured out how to get the battery out. Still unsure what the issue was or if I'll have to enter any codes if I change the battery?
  10. Also, when I replace the battery with a new one, will I have to enter any codes or do anything for the radio, security alarm or anything like that?
  11. How do I remove this thing on my battery? I went to start my car today and vid related happened. Does anyone know what it is? Just a dead battery or could it be starter motor or something? I was able to jump the car to get it started. But I'd still like to replace the battery in hopes that that's all the issue is. I'm just not sure how to go about removing the plastic stuff covering the terminal with out breaking it. Snapchat-426570543.mp4
  12. Looks great, got a link for the key ring on amazon?
  13. Thanks a bunch, that guide will be really helpful!
  14. How often should the Spark Plugs and Ignition Coils be changed on a mk2 VRS? Are there any recommended brands to use or consider upgrading to? I vaguely remember seeing something about using Audi coils, but it might have needed a rail adapter? Are there any good guides on there showing how to do the job yourself? I've done plugs and coils on a previous car, but again vaguely remember someone commenting about the job being tough to do on the VRS for some reason.
  15. I've been looking for a couple of days now and haven't been able to find anyone who's done it before.
