  1. I have same car minus the DSG. I have been shopping around for cambelt and waterpump quotes as Skodas website says £600 for both. Have been quoted by 2 independent but VAG specialist garages £575 and £485 using genuine parts.
  2. I recently bought a 2016 Skoda Superb. Bought from a large car 'supermarket' not main dealer. Initially the front assist worked as normal but after around a week I was getting the 'front assist not available' message and the ACC etc... would not work. This lasted for around 2 weeks when it all of a sudden on a long journey it started working again and remained working seemingly fine. By this time I had contacted the garage I bought from and as it was under warranty they advised me to book the car in with Skoda to get this issue sorted. Into the Skoda Dealer it went who advised me the front assist needed a re-calibration to the tune of £575. Now if I was going to be paying then I would not have had this done as it seemed to be back working fine again however as it was covered on the garage warranty and they were covering the cost the re-calibration was carried out. I don't know why it stopped working and Skoda couldn't tell me. There clearly was a problem at some point as it wasn't working but as I have read this seems to be a common problem and £575 for a re-calibration is rather steep.
  3. Hi, a quick post to say hello as a new member. Recently bought a Skoda Superb estate 2016 and really pleased with it. Have had use of a Skoda Octavia 2001 estate in the past and that proved to be a reliable work horse. Decided to join this community as it has already helped me with a few decisions and I have found some great advice and help on here so I am hoping to find more and help out where i can myself.
