  1. update in case it helps somebody … I went into the privacy settings and set it to the one that looks like a thief on the left. Then switched off the infotainment system using the button under the screen. Switched back on and changed the thief to the one on the far right (let’s call it Farage) . This apparently refreshed the LTE connection and the car has found where it’s is correctly (got this from Enyaq forum). App still not working but hopefully that will sort itself out and I’ll find out tomorrow if hybrid / manual drop out is linked as I have an 80 mile round trip
  2. Help my Kodiaq IV thinks it’s in Sidcup….. when it’s parked in Luton. I assume it must be a GPS issue but have no idea if there is any reset or if something has switched off. The second issue today was that I kept putting the car in hybrid manual and after I few minutes it would reset to Electric only ( not just dropping into electric but physically changing on the battery screen. Any ideas anybody (I have done a couple of soft resets on the infotainment). It’s on the new software (since Easter)
  3. I have an Ohme on cheap rate from midnight, I set an alarm on my phone to switch to max charge at 00.05 otherwise car doesn’t fully charge as shuts down after first block of scheduling. Far from ideal but we are late birds anyway.
  4. I had it on a run on 15th December but nothing since. Switched off for 30 mins when I got home and it all reset.
  5. I normally set mine to hybrid / manual on a long journey and get about 46mpg you can always switch to electric for the last bit to improve that but I don’t like the car with no battery left, it may be a perception but it seems much smoother with
  6. Hi guys, all my assist systems shut down one by one tonight coming off the m3. Car drove ok to home but obviously all the assist were off including hill assist and esc and no recuperation with revs limited to 3k. Turned ignition off and one when I got home and the 10 warning engine sound”. Is this the same as others have had and is that software update to sort? Only had the car 3 weeks and only just done 500 miles, gonna phone assist tomorrow as took pictures of all warnings
  7. Have identified mine definitely has a problem which is likely why mine is so low, mot emissions failure first time, misfire on cylinder 3, hi ho hi ho it’s off to Skoda we go 🤪🤪🤪
  8. If you need to,pull away quick on a DSG then slide it into manual briefly until you are out of the junction or moving, or stick her in sport
  9. Ok by way of an update, car took 2 goes to get through mot today on emissions. So I had diagnostic done at garage: u112300 can comps, intermittent P0475 exhaust pressure control valve a - intermittent P0568 cruise set signal malfunction - intermittent P0303 Cyl 3 misfire - intermittent P0363 Misfire detected furling disabled - intermittent still under warranty so can go to Skoda, only 30k mileage but due an oil service in 1000 miles. Wondered if the plugs are knackered from all the short journeys. Assume I can change these myself as spark plugs won’t be warrantied, anybody know what the interval is supposed to be. any other suggestions greatly appreciated but could account for poor economy
  10. Mine took about 8k to loosen, but yes my mpg was also higher over the weekend but mine may have been due to using sport around town
  11. Gonna try the sport mode and see what that does, even if it doesn’t make a difference it will definitely be more fun 😎 thanks everybody for all the advice, it’s been really helpful and if nothing else has made me think hard about what to do. My 4 year pcp runs until next March so I don’t have to rush and have the funds to cover the final payment if I decide to buy new and have to wait for delivery.
  12. nearly 3 years 30000 miles and yep it’s Luton so pretty big hills
  13. It’s 2wd and I Drive like a granny 🤔 it’s purely to much time spent in town traffic on short journeys, she’s just a beast to get moving I think.
  14. 26 is my long term combined over 1300 miles, before that it was 27 over I think it was about 4000 miles. This is my combined number short journeys on the computer tend to register 18 to 22. This includes a trip to the new Forest and one to Loughborough both about 100m e/w We use about 60 quid a week in winter in juice and yes 250 miles for a week in winter is about right on average. We do about 300 to 350 a week in Summer due to athletics comps and yes it will be higher but I have never seen the long term out of the 20’s.
  15. I had a Citroen Spacetourer before this it was a 1.5hdi and used to around 50mpg on the combined and over 40 around town which was pretty much on quoted numbers so forgive me if I expected to be a little closer to what was claimed in this one. I didn’t choose the car based on monthly payments, but obviously it had to be affordable but I did have other options, I chose it because it was roomy inside as we needed 7 adult seats at the time and both me and my son are 6ft 3 and the Citroen was tight in the third row for 7 adults
  16. I do about 14k a year so petrol is over £14k for 4 years ownership at 26mpg average
  17. The Mazda carries over 50kg of throwing equipment (discus and shot) and I drive that a lot less eco than the Kodiaq. I am seriously considering a hybrid
  18. Ouch, that sounds more like my old Ford Cougar 😀
  19. Yes hdi is a diesel. Interesting to hear Karoq is so much better, it has to be the sheer effort of stop starting the bulk of the Kodiaq it’s a huge car for a 1.5 and I get better around town out of my 15 year old 2lt petrol Mazda 5.
  20. As we are all 6footers we needed a big car but even on a run the best mpg in winter is around 42 and as 80% of our driving is being the kids taxi around town we have an average speed of 16mph delivering 26mpg combined. My eco driving as per the car is 93%. Had a Citroen before this 1.5 hdi on same driving profile would go 44 mpg average. Can only put it down to the small engine, big car, fuel to get her moving but we do 15000 per year but 70% of this is round town so that’s around £14k in fuel over 4 years, very scary.
  21. Oops sorry yes misread as 15. so effectively mixing the 0w and the 5w on a short service plan doesn’t really make a diffence. ..... and yes bluey green water and definitely more expensive than 504
  22. So if the car comes with ow_20 (508) and dealer then services it with 15w-30 (504) and the top up oil supplied in the boot is 0w-20 then wouldn’t you expect the dealer to tell you? As 15w is a lot thicker isn’t it
  23. I have just topped my 1.5tsi up and the oil provided by the garage was Castrol edge professional ow-20 specifically the version that says compliant with vw508. I have been led to believe this is the oil being used when on the short service interval programme as it’s better for emissions. With no vw or similar dealer near I got it from amazon as it’s a bit of a sod to find. Hopefully somebody who knows for definite will respond
