  1. Don't know about the Sweeney- wasn't it Hannibal Smith in The A Team whose stock phrase was " I love it when a plan comes together' ! Pretty apt for this set of circumstances 😃
  2. I bought one from Amazon back in February 0.2 metre and 90 degree connectors (£3.99) It does the job- I can even close the sliding lid of the charging area with it connected. Search MYLBOO charge cable.
  3. I'd agree- 38.1 from a 2ltr petrol is pretty respectable ( I had a Volvo estate that was 2.1ltr and if I got 18mpg I was doing well !)
  4. Personally I don't put too much store on the MPG figures produced by the on board computer. However, just out of interest I wonder what is the highest mpg members have recorded. Of course length of journey, average speed etc will make this a very unscientific study so look on it as just a bit of fun. The one constant we can record is our engine type and size so I'll kick of by saying my vehicle is a 2ltr diesel(150) 5 seat two wheel drive and the highest I've recorded thus far is 54.3mpg. I've only had it nine months so courtesy of Covid long journeys have been few. Sadly no prize for the highest !
  5. From this week's Auto Express. No surprises apart from perhaps confirmation of a plug in Hybrid in the pipeline. ........apologies, tried to download photo but it just came through as a link that didn't work. Ho hum.
  6. Probably not one for us rufty tufty 'Bear' owners, even if it came here- but nice to see what the latest from Skoda is ( albeit the name leaves something to be desired ! )
  7. This is an article from a recent 'Car Mechanics' magazine. I thought some members may find it of interest.
