Hi All. My 2015 Octavia (with retrofitted MIB2) doesn’t have ambient lighting at all, let alone the ability to change the colour. I am interested to see whether it’s possible however to make the MIB unit “think” they are installed so I can change the colour of the display as it would to match the interior colour etc. if it had the lights. Don’t know whether this would open a can of worms however as there could be a possibility of the CANBUS moaning there is a light fault (as they don’t obviously exist). Cheers for the advice.

Hi All. I've got a Moon White MK3 and looking at replacing the Skoda badges with those featuring a white background and black logo. I've seen this on eBay, but think it may be a bit "cheap": Skoda Badge 1 x 90 & 1 x 80mm Black & White Free Postage High Quality | eBay Anybody got any higher quality recommendations? I've also got the lettering in black, but too afraid to attempt it myself in case I end up with wobbly text or known my luck - spell KODAS 😂 - so if anybody knows of any body shops in Newcastle UK that can fit them for me, that would be much appreciated. Hi, I recently force-updated my MIB2 unit from 02xx to 04xx. This is a Technisat 5Q0035874A and oddly, since force-upgrading - the left/right audio channel has swapped. I have seen it affect other people and understand the quickest solution is to swap the speaker cables on the tightlock connector. Does anyone have a wiring diagram so I can work out which cables to swap round? Cheers, Paul.

Thanks for the feedback, I’ll just replace the screen with another 8” as getting the replacement trim is just about impossible. The VIN is TMBBJ7NE4F0235304. Octavia SE 2.0 TDi 150 2015 Undoubtedly, the BCM is probably incompatible known my luck lol.

Hi all. In 2021 I had a MIB2 unit retrofitted to my 2015 Octavia with the 8” screen. The glovebox unit is a 5Q0035874A which I’ve now successfully managed to get the latest 0480 firmware installed (and it now sees it as a 5Q0035874C unit incidentally). This means the APP button is also working on the screen, which it didn’t when it was running the 02xx firmware. Because the screen is missing the bottom trim, I’ll have to buy a replacement screen as the trim piece isn’t sold separately. I’m debating whether to upgrade to the 9.2” screen instead - but need to know whether it will work with my glovebox unit (now a ‘hacked’ MIB2.5 unit I guess). Secondly, as it has the MOST connector - can someone advice which part number virtual cockpit I would require and what’s involved getting it fitted? Cheers. Paul.

Hey, I have the following unit with developer mode unlocked: I have an SD card and would like to know if it's possible to update to the 04xx train on this unit? It has a MOST connector so assume it will later support a Virtual Cockpit. Thanks, Paul.

Is it not possible to (force/hack) update to the P04xx version as I'd like to get the grid view? Tried enabling through MIB2Toolbox to no avail and think it was something released with the P03xx firmware and later? I assume this is a MIB2 Standard unit and not a MIB2HIGH? Hi All, Upgrading my MIB1 to MIB2 is underway and I've just bought a 5E0919605M display for £130 without the bottom trim. I know this can be a pain getting hold of a replacement and I may need to resort to salvaging from a smashed/faulty unit - however would the trim from the original screen be an option as it looks extremely similar (ignore what's on the screen as I was testing the new MIB2 unit to make sure it wasn't dead)? Cheers for the update. When you say the fed and swap codes will be the enemy, I take it a 3rd party will be able to help?

Sorry for asking what is probably the same question millions of times. I have an Octavia with a MIB1 installed. I’ve just acquired a 5Q0035874A and need advice on what the next steps are. I’ll be buying an 8” screen when pay day come. I’m looking for SmartLink & CP removal. The existing car doesn’t have NAV so I assume I’ll need a GPS aerial?
