  3. Not a daft question at all. The prime reason being "Price". New car prices in France are very high compared to UK. Used car prices are astronomical. I bought my 2019 Superb Est in the UK in 2020. Before Brexit. (10,000 euros cheaper than French 12 month old car prices) I have driven RHD cars in EU for over 30 years (HM Forces) so the RHD car in Europe scenario isn't a problem for me. Due to Brexit....I won't be able to bring a car into France from UK when I need a replacement. Due to post Brexit High import duty charges. Making it potentially non viable on cost grounds. Brexit the Gift that keeps on giving So My next car will be a LHD, probably sourced from Belgium, Holland or Germany.
  4. Andy I had my Superb CT'd in France last week. It is a late 2019 model so it was its first CT here in France. (having been registered in France since 2020) I didnt modfiy anything and the car passed the CT and no notes of the "rear fog" on wrong side noted. The CT tester even fitted headlight deflector stickers for me, to pass the CT front lights test. So the "do nothing option" worked. I am in 86 Vienne Good Luck

  6. HI Kev One more question if I may. Where on the strut is the OE code. Is it visible while still fitted? Or, do I need to remove the strut to get the OE codes. All I can see on my struts is "PA6-GF30" thanks in advance (again) Regards Steve
  7. HI Kev Many thanks for the reply, very much appreciated. I will have a go at changing these. (Of note though I don't have the foot operated option on my Superb.) It is very frustrating that it has failed as its a 2019. I live in France (its a UK car) and getting a French SKODA dealer to look at it would be a challenge and expensive. I'll do it myself. Once again thanks to you Kev and also to the Community here on BRISKODA Regards Steve
  8. HI Kevinmaj.....interesting post...I have the same issue with my 2019 Superb Est III. So if I understand your post correctly, you just "swapped out" both your "motorised" struts. Any chance you could share a link to the ebay items. Many thanks. Thanks again.
  9. HI Gleisner95 Did you get anywhere with your hatch opening issue? I have a as similar problem on My superb
  10. The recentering of the car/map ,does not bring the compass icon back on. It remains greyed out.Loads of GPS coverage here in Wales . I live in France, and recently drove the car to Spain,it's not a GPS positioning error. thanks for the reply.
  11. Hi thanks for your message. Yes I have tried ..the function of "north oriented" map is no longer available The problem has been there for a couple of months. I live in France and was over for the rugby. The map works fine and follows route guidance. GPS is working I think . Map centering is working fine. Thanks for your message though,it's a strange, puzzeling problem.
  12. Hi All I have attached a picture to see if anyone can help me. I wonder if anyone can please tell me, why my compass is greyed out. And also could someone please let me know what the red symbol is at the top of the screen. Many thanks in advance
  13. I have noticed the small compass display on the top right of the Columbus navigation screen gives the appearance of being 'greyed' out and inactive. It has worked previously. Just wondering if anyone can give ideas how to get to the settings for this display, thanks
  14. Thanks everyone...a few angles there, for me to look at. I will report back.

  17. HI, Good morning everyone.....I have a 2019 (69) Superb 2.0 TDi SE-L. I am going to take the car to France. (permanently/ export) Is there a VCDS or OBD fix to swap the rear fog lights from Right to Left for use in EU. Or to enable both fog lamps to illuminate. Many thanks in advance. A Welshbloke in France
  18. Evening all, Does the Superb III 2019 SE L have the capability (via setup, VCDS or OBD11) to electronically move the headlights for driving on the EU continent, on the othe side of the road? Thanks in advance WB
