  1. Bit slow on the reply, don't log on much. you first need to make sure the actual steering wheel buttons match what is currently on your car, so as an example the Octy 3 flat bottom wheel comes with a slightly different switch layout to the FL Yeti, and thus the buttons don't correspond. Once you pick a suitable set of DSG able wheel switches, the next challenge is making sure the flappy paddles and the switch set have the SAME illumination, green flappies only works with the G series switches ( also green illumination ), and white flappy's only work with the M version steer switches, which is also white illumination. It's a bloody minefield, has cost me three sets to work this all out, but man it's pretty cool once it's working and coded in on VCDS and most likely OBD11. I have a set of FL Yeti green steer switches I don't need in perfect condition, all you need is green flappies, open to offers!

  3. So you have green G buttons and green flappy paddle illumination?? I think my actual steer wheel is a 2018 hence the later, white illumination flappy paddles that may also be a different type due to the newer platform. Yes I'm interested in your buttons, gonna cost me $150 Euro to get a set out of Europe, and it's my second set - arrgh.
  4. All I can tell you is what I've read on another vw forum, and one MK6 Golf guy worked out that the illumination has to match for the flappy paddles to function. Unless someone can tell me otherwise, I think that is my final hurdle, and I'll just fork out yet more money any buy the white "M" buttons. If anyone wants some barely used green "G" buttons for a discount price, hit me up!
  5. Thanks for the reply. What colour are your flappy paddles illumination wise? I assume green?
  6. I guess my question is for the people out there with functional paddles, what buttons went with what flappy paddles! I have a Octavia III wheel with the white flappy paddles, bought the 5E0 919 719 G green buttons, and no joy. So I either go the 5E0919719M whites and hope they work with the Octy III white paddles, or find some green illumination paddles from an earlier car. I'd prefer white despite the expense....
  7. The VCDS part is easy, sorting the variety of buttons and illumination era's is tricky! Is yours all green or all white illumination? Seems so long as the illumination matches you are set with DSG version switches, being "G" for green illumination sets or possibly the later "M" for white illumination. I'm stuck in the middle with white flappy paddles and a "G" set of steering wheel buttons.
  8. Hi Jsstelt, so you have white illuminated paddles with the "M" series wheel button set and it's working on what year yeti? I've a my2014, the green "G" wheel button set but sadly the white paddles with an Octavia III steer wheel, and they won't work, it seems the green buttons only work with green paddles ( illumination ) and vice versa if what you are suggesting is working.
