  1. I hasten to add that my car had been stationary for a couple of weeks. Checked the app before getting to my car and, seeing suspiciously low pressure, checked them. The problem is - many don't and rely on "systems".
  2. While TPMS may indicate that tyres are at their correct pressure - always best to check manually on a regular basis. Rather than using pressure sensors on individual tyres, the Scala uses a system which measures the differing speeds of each wheel. A loss of pressure in one tyre will reduce the rolling diameter, hence speed up that wheel's relation to the others. Temperature changes and general leakage can allow the pressure in all four tyres to reduce by the same amount. I found recently in cooler weather all four were nearly 2psi down even though my Connect app was showing all was well. Also do not use alloy valve caps as they chemically bond with the steel valves and require complete replacement. Can be done by deflating the tyre completely to enable valve replacement - but best not to cause the problem in the first case.
  3. Mine was working fine until latest update. Has now failed twice. Rebooting resolved it last time but this time I will wait for Skoda to address their server as it clearly is their fault.
  4. Thanks. No not the age of the car as it is the Skoda Web page which was proving faulty. Skoda sent me link, which didn't work and gave me a message that the site could not be found. Tried it on phone, two computers and a totally separate person just in case it was our router/WiFi but with no luck. Reported back to Skoda who "for my convenience" submitted "the link" again. Surprise surprise, it worked. Clearly demonstrating there was a fault despite their claims. Rgds Grahame
  5. My "Connect" and "Infotainment Online Update" subscriptions expired on 1st August. I successfully renewed my Connect subscription and all is working perfectly. My (attempted) purchase of the Infotainment update renewal not so. Try as I might, using exactly the same method on three different devices, I am unable even to access either the order form or the Website Shop - despite following the URL link provided by Skoda. I receive messages saying that the website IP address is unavailable. I am rapidly losing interest in renewing - has anyone else had such problems? Regards Grahame Bath
  6. While this can be switched off by setting the car to private, this also negates the benefit of the breakdown call and other vehicle location requirements. I am very pleased to see that this has been switched off by Skoda.
