  1. Apologies my old car was 2015 mk3 scout but I have amended profile yet!! Now have 2026 VRs
  2. I was able to use vcds so it’s not an sfd2 issue I don’t think. As in you don’t need to go through that security to read and clear the code. But my eBay special odb2 reader didn’t communicate with the car.
  3. I actually have vcds via hexv2 from my last car but wasn’t sure it was going to work due to sfd2 etc … But happy to say I was able to read and delete the codes!! For a new car, there was a ton of error codes showing lol.
  4. I’ve just done the same on my new Octavia 🫣 Reckon I can still clear it using something as the car is SFD2 as I understand it …?
  5. Thanks for all the guidance on this. Does this apply to both cars with and without towbar prep? Or if the vehicle has prep, is it as ‘easy’ as plugging the towbar in? Or is there still a bunch of coding to be done …?
  6. @East_Yorkshire_Retrofits so what needs to happen in order for you to start doing them again? i.e. how will you know? Anything I can do from my end?
  7. Was this an electric towbar or just manual detachable one?
  8. I’ve spoken to them and they have said that post-march 2024 is the issue. They can fit but it’s connected to canbus and some features are disabled. Kind of their words. I don’t pretend to understand this in any details …
  9. so i can't assume that a car out of factory is going to be up to date then? No, I suspect not - why would it be that easy!!? 🫠
  10. Ah ☹️ so it seems there are some coding issues then? why do things have to be so difficult? lol
  11. Assuming you got all this done and it’s as good as OEM??
  12. Hello! I know this is a few months old but wondered if there’s an indicative price foR a 2026 vrs combi? I haven’t bought it yet but the car is out of factory already and I don’t think it has towbar or prep done. I’m potentially travelling from south to Crewe to collect. Thanks in advance!!
  13. Hi all, Hope you’re well and can help please! I have one of the relay bypass kits and also the wiring diagrams for the Octavia 3. I’ve checked the diagram for the left side and there are 2 black and white wires shown but on the can I have 2 black and white wires but one has red dashes as well. Does anyone know which is which please? It doesn’t differentiate on the drawings. Also this is in addition to the white and black wire!
  14. Thanks - yeah it turned out I didn’t have one and was able to just ‘ping’ the wire off from the pad. Discs and pads all done today and wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. Hardest thing was getting the wheels off that had clearly been air bolted on from when I had the tyres done!
  15. Hi again all. I ordered my discs and brakes and all seem to be good. The only query I have is that the front pads do have a wear sensor/cable but I don’t seem to see that on my vehicle. I see a wire on both sides front but assume that is something related to abs and/or the awd system …
