Hi all, Hope you’re well and can help please! I have one of the relay bypass kits and also the wiring diagrams for the Octavia 3. I’ve checked the diagram for the left side and there are 2 black and white wires shown but on the can I have 2 black and white wires but one has red dashes as well. Does anyone know which is which please? It doesn’t differentiate on the drawings. Also this is in addition to the white and black wire!

Thanks - yeah it turned out I didn’t have one and was able to just ‘ping’ the wire off from the pad. Discs and pads all done today and wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. Hardest thing was getting the wheels off that had clearly been air bolted on from when I had the tyres done!

Hi again all. I ordered my discs and brakes and all seem to be good. The only query I have is that the front pads do have a wear sensor/cable but I don’t seem to see that on my vehicle. I see a wire on both sides front but assume that is something related to abs and/or the awd system …

That great thank you. Must just be how the disc sits then. It looks like it’s under the main hub nut but I did think Rhys would be weird!

To double double check I measured the discs. 272 rear and 288 front as mentioned. I’m assuming I need a star socket for the middle hub but - is that right??

Hi there, where did you find the code please? I have this sticker in the back and can see 1KS which refers to rear brakes but nothing that aligns with the codes for the front … The car is a 2015 Octavia Scout …

I was worried about this too but it really was quite simple. Not a plastic clip in site which is good! I bought a kit from Ali and express and it came really quickly and included oem led lights and a descent wiring loom.

Sadly this didn’t work and I’m totally stumped. I’ve remembered that the sidelight bulbs/drl are: 12)-Leuchte4TFL (12)-Leuchte5 TFL this is from when I disabled them for drl but even these don’t have any reference to ch/lh so who knows. maybe the sidelights are coming on because of another setting when I disable the alarm/turn the ignition off

Interestingly it still said drl for the sidelights but I disabled those as I’m running the dogs as drls so that’s also weird

Thanks - I wondered that as well but then thought maybe these are the rear lights? maybe it’s trial and error on these??

Hi all, I'm hoping someone could help me with trying to get my fogs-only working as CH/LH. I've followed the guide and they're working but the sidelights still seem to come on as well and I can't figure out why. Yeah that’s right - would have been nice to just buy a ‘kit’ but ah well, I’ll continue to use my arm 😊

Hi folks. I’ve just been reading through this adaption and I have successfully turned off the dips and have fogs as ch/lh - having read this thread, I will check my adaption map but can anyone confirm that you also need to do this for the sidelight bulb (standard halogens) as mine seem to illuminate on ch/lh. I also have set my fogs as drl but that shouldn’t affect this at night I believe

Hi @Powerred are you able to advise what kit you used please? I have an octy3 scout but assuming all the kits for vw are the same?? I’ve seen some lights on an auction site but they don’t seem to come with harness

Hi all, reading through this whole thread which is very useful. I too would probably prefer an OEM feel but it does look more complicated. At the beginning, a wiring diagram was shown but am I right in assuming the only actual ‘wiring’ is feeding from the cAmera to the head unit or is there also a plug in the back somewhere I need to tap in to? sorry for my ignorance, but what is ODIS? I have vcds so comfortable with the coding part … (I think)

Cheers - I was also going to change the high/low bulbs to led given that it wouldn’t matter so much for being legal in the uk (correct me if I’m wrong). I’m guessing this would mean a constant led light for drl and sidelight and then main beam would be bright led and turn off when seeing oncoming traffic anyway

Hey @TudorDthanks for the info. It’s interesting that those led bulbs are legal in those countries. And that’s in a reflector housing correct??
