  1. It’s through a lease company, not directly from Skoda. I actually contacted them at the time I had the original oil service alert and told them what Skoda said but no reply. It might just be easier for me to call Skoda up and book the service. I Just don’t want the service record to show I’ve missed anything and get hit with an extra cost or something from the lease company. It’s the first time I’ve leased or had a car this new so unsure of how it works
  2. Hi all. I lease my vRS. Currently on 16k miles. I had the oil service warning come up at 9k. I asked here and called local Skoda and the consensus was that it didn’t need a service until 16000, that the dealer had set it to fixed schedule and not to worry until the first main service at 16k. So now I’m at 16k and want to book a service (there’s now an alert for this), however doing it through the auto booking option on their site is only giving me an option for 2nd service. But there has t been a first and there was no alert for this. My concern is that due to electronic service book that the lease company might get difficult about missing a first schedule despite no alert for this other than the oil alert that was dismissed by Skoda theirselves. Have I missed something? Anyone had issues with lease companies being difficult about this stuff?
  3. Ok thanks for answering my questions, really helpful 👍
  4. Yeah I thought 9400 miles is low, let alone the 4400 miles I was confused about. Just to be sure this 4400 miles will reduce as drive it further right? Just want to make sure I’m reading it right for the future. Got it in Feb. Fresh off the court. Will fixed protect the warranty or makes no difference?
  5. Hi. Yeah it looks that way. So I don’t have to worry that I’ve missed an oil service and currently it means that it needs a service in 4400 miles (at 9400 miles like you say). Is it better to have it variable? Can that be changed? Thanks
  6. Hi all, I have an Octavia VRS 245. Got from new. I’m scratching my head over when it needs it’s first oil service. I would have thought it would tell me automatically when it was coming up but I was in the infotainment system yesterday and saw it’s saying “oil change service in 4400 miles or 115 days”. I’m currently on 5000 miles. My confusion is whether that’s telling me that I’ve missed it or it will need a change in another 4400 miles (9400 miles)? This is my first new/modern car so used to seeing this stuff in the manual which just says refer to the display
