Skoda Octavia VRS 2.0TDI (CUPA EA288) high oil consumption
i bought almoast 2 years ago a vrs, 2015, cupa E5, from Germany, 200.000 km, full service history. never had a vag car before, only renault gt's and rs's first problem that i've noticed was the car was regenerating from 80 to 30 km done. After i've fixed that, i'ved noticed the oil consumption. The problem was that the car was not smoking at all and was looking healty and there were no signs of illnes of the engine. only oil consumption (nobody could guess that the car had a problem at all. you could noticed that, only if you run the car a lot and the oil light was warning you. the car ran perfect!) i had 1L/2500 km oil consumption. in 1,5 years, i've changed 2 turbocharger's, the rocket cover pcv, injector seals, egr +cooler, the valve stems, washed 2 times the dpf, timing belt kit - 3 times, lots of sensors (egt, landa), but nothing worked. at that moment, the car was regenerating around 200 km in town and around 400 outside. i've decided to open the engine and see what was going on (first i tought the piston rings were the problem): - cilinder head deformated, - engine block deformated and scratched - pistons scratched - piston rings full of slime - exhaust valves, some of them had play i had 3 options: 1 new engine (too expensive) 2 full engine rebuild (nobody trustfull) 3 used engine i chose to search for a used engine, and after 2 months i've foud one from a back crashed audi q3, DGCA that was 60000 miles. i had full service history of the car and the car vin was coresponding to the engine code. so, was real! i bought the complete engine with injectors, fuel rail, whater cooler, egr..... because the dgca have variable camshaft timing i've swaped it with mine, also the rocket cover another incompatibility was on the intake part, at the whater cooler where the DGCA have another egr that is comunicating with the cylinder head, and my E5 doesent have, so i've mounted my whater cooler. in conclusion after the swap there is no oil consumption, and the regenerations are the same i think the problems were from bad exploitation, 30000km oil change intervals and the engines heat management (this engine runs at verry high temperatures - egt - 900 degrees celsius in full throttle) All parts that i bought in time were geniue vw and after i've done a total amount spent on, the car, on parts and labour, at the moment + 6000 Euro i could've buy a 2022 new vrs, tsi car! in conclusion don't do like me and if you sell them tell the buyers that the car have oil consumption problem. i think that this engine doesent consumes oil at all if the engine is't abused and the oil change is made at maxim 10000 km, with good oil, but who buyes a vrs to run low?

Lots of regens
Something strange is happening there! I've addapted the sensor! The dpf is there and i made a dpf clean and they told me that the dpf is fine... And i was at the skoda dealer and installed the preview version of the car software (diselgare). After that the only thing ive noticed wast the increase of the consumption, but not much.

Lots of regens
Today i was againt at the local skoda dealer to search for a update soft. But there isn't one. They said again that the car has no faults and they can't diagnosticate the issue, because on the tester the car has none. But they admited that is something wrong and they can't figure it out... Alsaw the car hasent been softed for power. (stock engine power)

That value ( oil ash volume) hasnt changed since i have the car. Tested a vw tiguan 2020 2.0 tdi 150 twice and first time vcds mesured the oil ash volume 3.8665427 and the second time 0.00. I thing in certain conditions that part is showned... I don't know. My car has 227.000 km with full service history.
