Daytime Running Light - VRS
yeah i had fitted the bi-xenons as an optional exta.same as vrs. if you have a look at a few pictures of skoda octavia bi-xenons you,ll notice the square module is attached to the headlight underneath . thats why youve got to undo the bumper then undo the headlight and you,ll see its at the bottom of headlight. good luck

Daytime Running Light - VRS
Hiya.Absolutely fine.Took car to local mechanic. He took headlight out after undoing the bumper ,unscrewed module ,put new 1 on . All fine and dandy. So in my case it looks like skoda mechanic were right. Both led,s are like new. . Nothing about led,s ? ? ? But if your looking for a honest good reliable estate in silver 1.6 diesel elegance with every concievable extra on it ? ? ? ive just today part ex,d it today at trust skoda in redditch. i had fitted from new over £5400 of extras. i traded it in for an ex dem model. anyway back to led,s. iam sure if yours is yellow please try the module. it worked on my bi xenons. c u soon

Heater won't heat - on one side only
Hi everybody. iam a new member so i thought i'd let you know of my experience. my heater was blowing cold on drivers side but warm on passenger side.. ive got a skoda octavia 1.6crtdi estate. i mentioned it to skoda who was doing the timing belt and water pump at the time. are you all sat down lol. they quoted me £1700.00. they said your heater matrix is partially blocked and it takes around 8-9 hrs . mainly the cost is the amount of flushes it has to have which is mainly labour. i,ll keep this as short as i can. skoda was right. heater matrix partially blocked. everybody who has similar problems ? just try this if your not sure ? put heater on full and speed on full ? cold air i guess. now keep heater on full and fan speed at number 1 or 1st notdge. mine started slowly blowing warm air ever so slightly so that would probably indicate a partially blocked heater matrix. and then when switched to full it went cold. anyway i had a new heater matrix fitted and now blowing hot air perfect. ive learned from guessing myself and thinking its this or that or this or that. i myself pay and wouldnt hesitate at paying £90 for a skoda technician diagnostic to tell me whats wrong with my car even though you might want to do the job yourself or even local mechanic because of labour costs. there normally always right and i suppose if you were to let skoda do any repair at least you get a guarantee/ warranty. thanks

Daytime Running Light - VRS
hello everybody . only just joined briskoda so i'll tell you of my experience . bought my octavia estate with bi-xenons as an optional extra. anyway ? after just a year my led strip turned yellow . i took it back to claybank skoda and they said you cant buy the bulb its a full headlight under warranty . the mechanic said ? because its gone yellow and not gone out ? that told him it was the module and not the actual led bulb that was at fault. he then said ? if it was totally not lit up its a case of new complete headlight but because its turned yellow ? thats told him its not the bulb but a faulty module. dont know how true that is but i'll find out soon.( probababy couldnt buy module at the time as i was 1 of the first to buy the new model octavia 3 )he said its new headlight and he would order it. new headlight came , booked it in and all very nice. now my other headlight led strip has gone yellow, ive ordered the module and just waiting for it to come so i'll up date you all and tell you if the new module works and fixes the led back to white again or wether its a case of a full headlight again. speak to you all soon with results
