Emission Control System sensor light
Just a quick follow up. I took the car back to where I bought it and they diagnosed a faulty lambda sensor. A new one was fitted the next day and the system reset. I have since driven around 300 miles and the light has remained off. Hope I am not tempting fate by posting this! Job done under the garage warranty I had with the car when purchased.

Emission Control System sensor light
Just a follow up, apparently, the garage where I bought the car did NOT change the spark plugs on the service due to the low mileage of the car!

Emission Control System sensor light
car has only done 14500 miles new spark plugs fitted in the last couple of months I have already used the fuel cleaner, it was Forte, apparently only used by the trade and cannot be bought in retail outlets. I might stress that the garage has not looked at the car as they want to see if changing the petrol and the fuel cleaner make the light disappear. Thank you for your info on the different petrol constituents.

Emission Control System sensor light
At the mo just a warning light as shown by Grayjay on this thread. Car runs fine, in conversation with my long serving local garage the concensus seems to be that I filled up with supermarket petrol which in their opinion is causing lots of problems for drivers who fill up with E10 petrol. Advice is to put fuel cleaning fluid in the tank and refuel with non supermarket fuel and see if the light goes out.

Emission Control System sensor light
Hi Grayjay, This has just happened to my low mileage 2016 Yeti SEL 1.2 DSG. Was there a satisfactory outcome to this for your car? And if so, what was it please?

Stop start
I have read a number of threads on the merits or otherwise of the stop/ start system on the yeti. from what I understand it would appear that the starter motor is used to restart the engine, although there does seem to be some schools of thought that this is not the case? I leave mine in the activated position as environmentally at least it is less polluting in built up areas. I do think that ’selecting park if stopped for a longer time so that you can take your foot off the brake pedal to stop the brake lights showing all the time you are stationary is a good idea. Does anyone have any info to the contrary?

My third Yeti!
I would agree with your thoughts. Although the yeti is not as top tech as some, I think overall it ticks many boxes. how are you finding the cross climate tyres? My recent yeti purchase has nexen tyres which I am pretty sure could be improved on for rumble and road noise?

My third Yeti!
The Karoq is somewhat wider than the yeti which became a bit of an issue on narrow country roads, also having low profile tyres was a big mistake on SEL models IMO. A smooth ride, I personally think the yeti seats were more supportive although I accept this is a very subjective opinion. 1.5 engine a bit thirstier than a 1.2 yeti, all my yetis and the Karoq had DSG boxes.

My third Yeti!
The car was very good, not quite as much room around the driver as the yeti, nor in my opinion as a back sufferer was the comfort/support of the drivers seat but it was acceptable. The Soul is a much under rated car. Driving electric is so smooth and the Soul was electronically efficient as EVs go. The charging woes were just taking up too much time as especially in the last 6 months many public chargers I used were now the subject of queues to get onto the charger. So a 1.5 to 2 hour recharge stop was turning into a half day excercise.

My third Yeti!
Hi, Back on the forum with my recently purchased Yeti (my third Yeti). Had a Karoq, never herbed the alloys like I did in this one! Most recent was a Kia Soul EV, public charging was a nightmare to say the least so back to the car I most liked, a Yeti!

skoda connect - worth it?
Interesting to read the comments on here. I was somewhat surprised to see Skoda actually charge for the contest system after 12 months. My previous car was a ford puma and Ford connect is free of charge and much much more user friendly than the Skoda system. I see one of the apps used for the Skoda has been discontinued from December 2020 and not replaced with anything else as far as I can see. All in all the connect system is the biggest disappointment of my Skoda Karoq purchase along with the 19" wheels and low profile tyres!

Karoq Boot liners
Hello all, Just thought I would share my actions on researching and buying a boot liner for my recently acquired Karoq. So many to choose from at varying prices, free delivery/paid delivery etc. In the end I decided to go for the original Skoda option (not the cheapest!) Having phoned many pf the suppliers they all answered the question regarding delivery the same. They are all delivered rolled up. The one from Skoda is double sided and therefore of a sturdier construction which is delivered as a flat package and therefore fits the boot perfectly. I had an aftermarket one in my Yeti which was curling up at the edges after a short time. So for me, its a case of you get what you pay for regarding this boot liner.

The 64 dollar question will be: will you go back to the 19" wheels after the winter??

Crater 19 inch - opinion
Hi, The conversations on this topic have been very helpful to me as I await delivery of Karoq SEL. Defo not a fan of low profile tyres but did take a demonstrator SEL out for a test drive fitted with the 19" wheels. Have to say that the ride on poor roads was better than in my Ford Puma and I didn't think to myself that I would need to change the wheels for smaller ones at the end of the test. Had 2 Yetis before this, I think the ride and noise was more subdued in the Karoq than the Yetis (IMOP) Some good and salient points discussed here though!

Hello, Ordered a Karoq SEL, may be here in 2 weeks despite the impending lockdown. Had 2 Yetis before and mrs has a Citigo. Only downside at the mo is that the SEL comes with 19 " low profile tyres, not a deal breaker as I prefer the spec on the SEL.
