  1. So my car has been in to see a trusted mechanic a couple of times and now he is 99% sure it is solved and that water was coming in via the rear near side light cluster. Although the light unit looks ok and the foam seal was undamaged it simply wasn’t doing its job. There is a square gap where the wires come through but no seal of any sort. With all the trim inside removed and a wet day to test on, it was easy to see water draining down into the section behind the trim and also down into the tyre well. the solution has been to add some extra foam to the seal and I initial testing has proved successful. It will be interesting to see the reduced condensation and a dryer boot.
  2. Hi i have a superb mk3 sportline estate and I get water in the tyre well - not all the time but I checked recently and there was quite a bit. I have tried a hose test and yesterday I had my car in the garage (independent) and they spent 30 mins trying to find a leak with no joy. So like you I am stumped! somewhere I read that it might be to do with the aircon/climate control but may be imagining it. anyway it is very annoying so keen to know if anyone has solved this puzzle
  3. Hi

After years of driving various VAG cars i went for a Skoda Superb estate 4x4 so my new dog could fit in the boot. The dog now travels up front but still have and love the car with most of its miles travelling to the Alps and back. I have seen the forum every now and then but thought I would finally join. hello from Hampshire
