  1. I've just experienced the same issue on my 2017 70k miles car. Pretty poor from a quality perspective imho, my previous 2.0 tdi Ford was still on it's original after 12 years and 140k. I've been very lucky that the used dealer I bought it from has been very honest. The warning light came on, on the way to get it MOT'd with them, 7 months after purchase. After a few phone calls they've pulled the diagnosics and admitted that the error had previously appeared prior to my purchase and are therefore doing it for free. Whilst obviously they should've sorted it before selling it to me, fair play to them for being honest and sorting it. Disappointed it's failed, but still love the car. Easily the comfiest and most luxurious car I've owned.
  2. Yeah, it's a fair old run away. They haven't done any work on my Superb, as it's very much a family cruiser (complete with a full 150 bhp). I'm past my boy racer days, but I may still get them to remap it in the next year or so , I've also used them for previous vehicles. It's about 30 miles from me, so I've only used them for tuning work or bigger stuff. After a few horror stories with remaps, I was always willing to travel and pay a bit more for the work, as they know the tolerances better than anyone (well they do with pd engines and the later common rail stuff anyway). All I would say, is if it's a vehicle you're planning on keeping a while, then they'll give you a a proper set up and take advantage of the extra exhaust gas flow. How is the 280 by the way? I'd love one, must be an awesome sleeper, but I decided to go down practical diesel route.
  3. To be honest I suspect a custom job would be the way forward. I don't know where you are based, but the best VAG specialist I've used round Yorkshire is 'Darkside developments'. They are predominantly a diesel specialist, but they know VAG stuff inside out and also do a lot with custom builds and fabrication. They're in Barnsley and are about as Yorkshire as it gets. They've done some awesome builds though and have a decent YouTube account (if anyone hasn't seen it already)They also have a 4wd rolling road............................ just in case you get tempted to liberate a few more horses in the process. If it were me I probably wouldn't spend the sort of cash purely for sound. I'd want even more poke as well.
  4. I can't blame you. I've been fancying one ever since the mkIII came out, but I've always bought cars used and outright, so have held off until they dropped into my price bracket. Having read every review I king of knew what to expect, and if hasn't disapointed. The thing that has surprised me though has been non-car peoples reaction. When I showed my wife it her first reaction was 'god, how expensive is this going to be', when I picked up my brother be got in and said 'I thought you were getting a skoda, this is nicer than dad's car (jag xj)'. Inside it definitely feels more premium than anything in it's class and is more than a match for the class above.
  5. Thanks to whoever sorted the article out for me, much appreciated!
  6. I'm not sure, I'll check the code tomorrow. I know one of the optional extras was circa £900 for paint, so I'd assume that makes it one of metallic options, which lead me to assume petrol blue. It looks quite green in some lights, whichever it is I really like the colour. Fancied something different from the usual grey, silver, white or black.
  7. Just recently bought this SE-L Executive Tdi. Petrol blue with beige interior. Not quite got all of the extras I'd have chosen new, but I knew I wanted that colour combo and this one happened to be for sale less than 10 miles from home. This is my first Skoda and I'm a big fan of it. I think they look great, in a really understated way and are lovely place to be. Also as someone who is a bit overgrown, this is the first time that I've ever been able to. Comfortably carry passengers behind the drivers seat. Ave thing, I suspect it'll be a car I'll run for year, until we know what the future is for fossil fuels.
  8. 2017 Skoda Superb SE-L Executive, 2.0 Tdi. Hatch, Petrol Blue with beige interior.
  9. Hi everyone. Apologies, I don't know what I did with this article. I'm new to the forum, and indeed to Skoda ownership. I've recently bought a mkiii Superb SE-L Executive (Hatch). I absolutely love it, petrol blue with cream interior, such a lovely thing. It has developed a bit of a niggling issue though. The boot close button on the inside of the boot lid intermittently stops working. It is really annoying, as obviously it doesn't close off the key or interior button. Has anyone else seen this happen? I suspect it's just a lose wire / connector. I'm could probably take it back to the dealer, but if its a quick fix I'd rather just sort it myself. I'm reasonably competent mechanically, but less so with electronics.. Any advice would be much appreciated.
