  1. Range seems to be improving after several charges, got my full commute to the office today, 18 miles, and still had a 5 mile range left when I got home
  2. Happy new Skoda day. I picked up my Superb iV this morning, and after finally getting home through the snow set about getting Skoda Connect sorted. I had exactly the same problems, realised I had caps on so managed to get on when I realised. Then still couldn't get my details accepted. Sortered it eventually by using my laptop and updating my details via the Connect portal, went back to the car and got it connected. Seems to be working now. I did try turning on the pre heat, and that wouldn't work. I gave up for the evening then. I'll re try tomorrow....
  3. Well, picked up my new Superb iV L&K estate in Business Grey this morning from Rainworth Skoda in Sheffield. Very impressed so far. Got to say the journey home was not what I expected. The wife and I drove to Sheffield from Manchester this morning, setting off just after 07:30, arriving at just gone 9am for a 10 am collection appointment, We'd set off a little early due to the weather forecast. Drove over the Snake Pass, no problems, could see a little light snow covering right on the tops, but it was dry and roads clear. Set off home just before 11am, and headed back the way we'd come. It was raining a little by now. As we were passing the reservoir in the Derwent valley, the rain had changed to light snow. As we climbed, it got heavier and was starting to cover the road. We got to a set of temporary lights at some road works and could see cars turning around. a guy in a Range Rover stopped and told us about several lorries now stuck ahead, so it was a quick and easy decision to turn around and head back to Sheffield, where we picked up the M1 heading North to the M62 back to Manchester. So, the car got a longer run than intended, which I'm not complaining about. Added about an extra 50-60 miles to the trip, so in hybrid mode returned just over 50mpg average from a 75% battery on set off. Wife had the heated seat on most of the way home too! and I did try the heated steering wheel out too. As has been mentioned by others, I was a little disappointed that the removable torch has gone from the boot, but that's all I can complain about for now. It's now charging up overnight, and looking forward to the next drive.
  4. Hi all, I collect my new Superb iV L&K estate up next Friday, so wanted to order a couple of accessories, including a dog guard for collection at the time. I had a look on the Skoda site, and the Superb is the only model there isn't a viewable/downloadable accessories manual for. As there was no manual I phoned the dealer and spoke to the parts department, who weren't able to help very much at the time, saying there were only a a few items for the Superb showing on their system, and thats probably due to it being a new model. They did call me back to say there was an option for a dog guard, but holes would have to be drilled for fitting. There's no way I want to drill holes in the trim of a new car, so I'm hoping someone can suggest an alternative guard (not a universal) for the Superb. I do like the Travall, which I have for the Kodiaq, but they are out of stock and can't say when they'll be back in stock. Also, can anyone tell me the differences between the 2020 and 2021 models, is there any dimensional differences? I was also after ordering the tough floor matts, the ones with a rim, I also have them in the Kodiaq and they're so much better than the carpet matts if we've been out with the dogs. Cheers
  5. Some interesting things on this thread, I'm collecting my Superb iV L&K estate next Friday and can't wait. I'm switching from a Kodiaq 190 DSG Edition which I've had since they were released in 2017, so expecting to make some overall economy savings (other than the tax after year 1!), Having an Ohme intelligent charge point filled on Monday, this will auto charge at the cheapest electricity price. We've just switched to Octopus Energy agile tariff, so hoping to get very low recharge costs, apparently at times we'd even get paid to use electricity, so we'll be putting the heavy use appliances such as washer and tumble dryer to run over night too. My return commute to/from work is just under 20 miles, so should get that out of the battery, at weekend I'll be travelling to our holiday home which is around 40 miles, mainly motorway, so should do well in hybrid mode, and can charge from an outside 3 pin plug, take dogs to beach etc. on electric whilst there, charge overnight before we come home and again home in hybrid. Where I probably will suffer a little is on my annual carp fishing trip to France, fully loaded with 2 sets of gear and a roofbox on top! Must admit I'm a little disappointed to read that they've changed a few things in the spec, such as no longer having the removable torch in the boot, must admit the one in the Kodiaq has come in useful on occasions. Sounds like I may be a little disappointed in the Canton system as well! But still looking forward to getting in and driving it.
  6. Hi all, Hayden from Manchester here. Currently driving a Skoda Kodiaq 190 Edition which I've had since they were launched in the UK in 2017, best car I've owned. Covered 35,000 miles in it around the UK and France, and loved all of them. The time has come for a change though, and next Friday I'll be collecting a new Superb iV L&K estate and can't wait. I had been hanging on for the hybrid Kodiaq to be released, but out of chance ended up test driving the Superb, and it certainly lived up to it's name, so, after hours of internet research and watching video reviews, back in August ordered one. Looking forward to having a look around the forum, especially around the Superb area to see what I can learn. Cheers
