  1. No never got to the bottom of it. Iv done a few 300km runs where it only re gened once. So I am thinking due to my change in driving pattern over the summer of lots of very short trips and no long trips it was just more obvious as it was regening every 5days. Now my driving in pattern has gone back to normal it's only every 2-3 weeks, but still a similar distance. Prior to the summer I don't know how far it was between regens so it may not have changed and was only more obvious due to my driving pattern change.
  2. It's even wear, so I assume there isn't any issues. I'm just surprised that they only lasted 25,000km. I would expect longer as it's mostly city driving and I am not doing any crazy driving.
  3. Forget to say it's a 2016 superb estate 2l diesel 150bhp
  4. I need to replace my front tyers after 3 years and 25,000km which doesn't seem like great wear they are Bridgestone turanza t005. Any recommendations on what I should go for
  5. Have you manually selected an engine group in the app and did you pick the correct one? As when it's in auto for mine I don't get that panel populated
  6. Not sure it was just the cheapest white one. It can be used with other apps, without a subscription. I only get a subscription the odd time if I need it, is handy to keep. I replaced my battery and needed it for coding it, sonid keep onto it.
  7. Vagdpf is the app and you can get any OBD2 adapter. I got a carista one
  8. I would do it if I knew I would be doing a few short trips together. I was thinking it was better than getting it up to temp multiple times causing more soot/ash etc
  9. I would assume a delta p sensor would either work or not work. This seems to be consistently regening at the same distance c65kms or could the sensor give a miss reading which is forcing the Regen at a lower pressure?
  10. Thanks i think I'll have to I was just trying to prepare myself 😊 Ya it's over 3km, I see that a bit it just jumps up all of a sudden, which it never did before. So I was guessing it might be a sensor
  11. Another update I did a 400km trip and it just re gened once at the start and then the day after on a short trip. There seems to be a pattern when doing a few short trips that vagdpf reports that its @c.50% full and then it just jumps up to 100% and regens. I'm wondering if that might be a sensor? Also I feel that with a similar amount of driving as before it's reporting higher amounts of soot. Any suggestions would be appreciated
  12. Yes it does. I can see it in vagdpf, fans turn off and stop start re enables.
  13. Iv do a few 20-30km motorway trips, but it was after a regen. I'm going to take it on a 400km spin at the weekend and I picked up some ecomotive drive clean so I'll see how that goes. Regens are taking 45mins which is a bit of a pain. Some screenshots from this mornings one
  14. Just driving a bit longer or in some cases letting it idle and Keeping an eye on vag dpf. I was thinking 39% wouldnt be an issue. I'm wondering would a few hours motorway driving and/or some dpf cleaning fuel additive help?
  15. I have a 2016 Skoda superb 130k Kms and over the last few weeks I am having regens every 60km. Recently I'm doing lots of shorter trips and very little motorway, but trying to let the reg cycle complete when I notice it's running. Am I looking at an issue with my dpf and is there anything I can do to prolong it's life?
  16. Thanks tried that with no luck either. Has the load the car via the back seat and leave the lab at home 😢 Dealer tells me I need a new latch which seems a bit much as I didn't bang it too much, so I'd say it won't be my last one.
  17. I have a mkiii 2016 estate with a manual boot and today it just wouldn't open. I noticed that there was a bag handle part caught in the boot, took it out but still nothing. When I press the button on the boot I can hear it trying to open, but doesn't. No errors or warnings in the car tried the boot& door unlock with the same result. I also tried and failed to open the boot from the inside with a screwdriver using the recommended emergency opening option in the manual, but I can't feel any latch that I should be trying to open. Any ideas how to get it open, as i need to load up the car tomorrow with a lot of stuff.
  18. Noticed car that I have had a couple of months that water was coming out of the boot door when I opened it today, it was about a glass of water coming out of the door (into the boot) where the plastic panels joined. Nothing obvious damaged on the outside. Anyone any ideas?
  19. I am trying to setup my 2016 superb with the my Skoda app,no have entered the vin and connected the phone via USB, but the app doesn't seem to register that I connected it to the car. The car keeps going to android auto model when I connect it, I have even uninstalled android auto, but same thing happens. Any ideas?
  20. I'll not specifically looking for a diesel, but for my budget petrol cars don't really exist. The cheapest petrol estate on the Irish market right now is twice the price of the diesel I'm looking at. It has very low milage and is a couple of years newer, but with my milage it would be a waste. So unfortunately I am left with a diesel if I want a superb
  21. I'd do a couple of 200kms every 5weeks and a few 10-30kms. Then a few shorter trips a week. I don't tend to be sitting in heavy stop start traffic that ofent thankfully. How come due to milage? Water pump would be due with the timing belt @4/5 years, so it's nearly due to be done on all the ones I am looking at.
  22. Hi, looking at buying my first superb, as I need a big family car. Looking at a few 2016 superb estates 2.0L diesel. With 110-120kmiles on them. Looking at keeping it for 8-10years, but I don't do much milage 5000-6000 py am I asking for DPF troubles and can i expect expensive service bills with the high milage? Also what are common faults in this model I should look out for.
