Hello from New Zealand
Hi @PetrolDave. Unfortunately you/I can't rip a CD from the CD player (in glovebox) to the Jukebox. The CDs are not recognised - copy protected perhaps? You have to go through the palaver of ripping the CD onto some other media (the manual says SD card ... but perhaps USB might work as you suggest). I could I suppose experiment with how etc. but would rather pass go immediately by viewing a suitable guide. Hence my question. Especially what format to rip to. cheers D

Service interval
I thought the same ... bought the car in September, figured out the anomaly I mentioned above, booked it for a service in December (just last week). It was when I took it in (well, about a half hour after when the dealer rang me) that I found the problem. You buy the service plan from Skoda. You book a service at a dealer. The dealer invoices Skoda for the work they do. From Skoda's POV the interval has been changed and a service is now NOT DUE, therefore they won't reimburse the dealer. Skoda also won't change the interval (unless you've done the mileage). I have contacted Skoda (web-form) and will see how I go. Cheers

Service interval
So I have a related question ... seems I am missing out with a 5 year service plan. A couple of months ago I bought (2nd hand) a Dec 2016 car. It's on a 5 year plan. Service intervals should be Y1 = Dec 17 through to Y5 = Dec 21 and as I understand it the services are major-minor-major-minor-major. Major = ol change etc. and minor is an "inspection service". It seems the previous/original owner got it serviced in Dec 17 and Dec 18 then for whatever reason was a few months late to Dec 19 and got it done in May 20. So now Skoda says the next service is May 21 (a minor) and May 22 is the next major. The 5 year service plan ends in Dec 21. So I pay apparently. Notwithstanding the plan would have covered this in Dec 21. Has anyone had this happen to them and successfully fought it out with Skoda?

SD Card Gapless Playback Issues
Hi guys Hey I'm a newbie on this and mildly off topic. I want to rip some of my CD collection onto SD card/s and upload to the jukebox (Canton system in a MkIII Siperb). Can anyone point me to guide (at 101 level LOL)? Looking for insight into what quality to rip (lossless or not?), what size of SD cards I need, will the track listings and artwork port across, etc., etc. Many thanks, cheers Don

Hello from New Zealand
Hi everyone. Just joined from Wellington, Aotearoa/New Zealand. I recently bought a one owner 2016 Siperb MkIII, the 206kw, AWD version - it's our top of the line, seems to be a wee notch under L&K trim. 19" wheels, leather, Canton sound system, etc. Generally speaking, so far so good, it's a nice car. Drove over a windy hill/mountain pass on the weekend, sport mode impressed. Mostly though I potter about in Eco. There are a handful of things puzzling me which I'll pop into the "correct" forums when I find them ... 1) I want to load up the jukebox as I have many CDs ... I want CD quality audio (lossless) but I'm not at all au fait with what sort or size of memory stick I'll need and just generally speaking the process. If anyone knows of a good guide that would be awesome 2) Whilst farting about with the steering wheel inputs I accidentally turned on lane assist. What an awful thing! I drive apexes and at first I thought I had a flat tire so stopped to look. Then assumed the road had tyre indentations in it that the car was tracking. It was ghastly. About 100 kilometers later I was playing it back in my mind, had a good look at the settings and realised what I'd done. Now turned off. Man that sucks. 3) I seem to have been caught out on the 5 year service plan ... prior owner got a service done late ... so it seems now I'll miss out on service #5 ... bit sucky. Be nice to know if anyone else has convinced Skoda to come to the party. Otherwise, all is well in NZ and I'm liking the car. cheers Don
