  1. Lol had that for the last 3 yrs with my last car so nothing knew there 😂
  2. Hello all, So after ordering my new VRS and waiting 14 months for it. My 4x4 Diesel Octavia VRS has arrived and I absolutely love it. I have spec'd it up and to be fair I'm glad I did. The 1 thing I did forget to spec up which my previous Octavia had was the raised floor and adding the HUD although wasn't fussed about it when I did my test drive, until I realised I didn't order it. The black one is my previous car, Thankfully due to covid I bought the ex demo that couldn't be test driven, which I believe has quite a few options that are extra if you by one new, This one only has a 9170 since I bought it in 2020. I couldn't get over the fact the 2 car's drive so differently even though they're likely to have the same engine. Anyway one happy customer right here. No complaints so far! Just have to work out how I'm going to feed the nextbase rear camera wire through the roof lining. Cheers all.
  3. Fine for motorways but not required in urban areas doing 40mph.
  4. As above. Keep at them they sound like they are fobbing you off as they'll have that many coming in. Question is it petrol or diesel? I had similar but with my sat nav only and then it had to go back in for a full update talking 2 days. Oh mines a diesel nearly forgot to mention that. My company uses Skoda's as company cars and all the petrol ones have sos issues and go into limp mode yet the diesels seem fine. My First Edition has been in and out for updates. Also recently had the door handles changed as it had dodgy door sensors. You think after all this I wouldn't of ordered a 4x4 VRS Octavia estate but after waiting a year I've finally been informed the factory have accepted the order but still no build date lol. Apparently they have brought a guy in from Porsche to fix these issues. Who btw stated Porsche said electric isn't the future, read into that what you want lol.
  5. It certainly is dangerous imo, I've the same model yet mine is on even at 30. A year later and I'm still awaiting a build date for my VRS so hopefully they've fixed the lane asshole as you call it. I'll be looking for someone to permanently switch it off.
  6. Totally agree lane assist is simply not required. 30mph and had my Octavia try and pull me into on coming traffic. I've suggested they simply turn in it on automatically at 70mph it would be perfect. Nothing should be resetting automatically you should have the option and this is another reason we left the EU!
  7. I've still got this issue after buying the car a year ago from new! Along with phone not connecting and other issues! Not impressed.
  8. Wouldn't waste your money! Let's say you've left it unlocked, well you'd be mistaken to think you could lock it using the app but you can watch it get driven off!
  9. Oh and my sat nav won't change to miles after an update it's locked in km's no matter what you try and select. The lane assist is a complete pile of interfering rubbish. Skoda need to slap the person responsible. And isn't it funny how the major car magazines never report these issues yet vote the Octavia car of the year. What a giraffe.
  10. I've had the Octavia for nearly a year and I've still got open cases with reference to the rubbish infotainment system and I get random error messages nigh on every week. And to top it off the Skoda app is pointless it's a gimmick, they'll tell you it's the UK law that you can't remotely access your vehicle yet mercedes have no issues. You can start your car remotely to warm it up ready. I can't even lock the stupid car remotely so you can have the pleasure sitting looking at your app stressing that you've not locked the car. But hey at least you can beep the horn and flash the lights to attract every thief to your car. I'm literally considering handing it back to the finance company and looking elsewhere. Good luck mate.
