  1. Update: Rear wiper blade sourced and fitted, BOSCH A284H, £14. Bye bye wiper drag !
  2. Had the dreaded rear wiper drag, thought I had nothing better to do than order a replacement on Amazon (Bosch A282H 280mm/11"), wiper blade arrives and it turns out the fitment is wrong, contacted Skoda parts, they want £29.46 for the part. Anybody replaced this wiper blade, what make, part number, cost ? Thanks
  3. Coatesy2239, That's what I thought, dealership activated the rear lights on my last six Octavias and a friend activated a lot more with VCDS (2nd rear fog light, cornering fogs, traffic sign recognition, high beam assist, hellfire lights, skoda surround sound)
  4. SCO3OTT, I've had numerous mods done to previous cars (Octavias) using VCDS and ODIS. Dealership say it's not possible because of wiring loom which is different from other markets that require all round DRL's.
  5. My last six Octavias, three of which were VRS, 200bhp, 230bhp and 245bhp Challenge estate all had their rear lights activated, see and be seen. Obviously different markets/legislation require DRLs all round, SurreyJohn, from your reply you seem to think the lights will illuminate white, the rear lights when activated are red. My point with the Customer Services/Tech Dept is that no effort was made to answer my question. A reply of "I'm sorry that can't be done because of . . . . ." would have sufficed.
  6. Has anybody managed to activate the rear lights to DRL's on a 2023 VRS, have been told not possible due to type of wiring loom, contacted Skoda UK Customer Service who spoke to their Tech Dept and they suggested turning on side lights, not quite the reply I expected, they obviously never tried to find out or broaden their product knowledge, the words "lazy bastards" spring to mind. !
  7. I always carry dogs in a cage, just changed cars from Octavia estate to Kodiaq VRS, can't just lift cage into Kodiaq due to seats 6 & 7 (folded down), cage has to be collapsed and assembled in car after seats 3, 4 and 5 are moved forward so you might have the same problem if yours has seven seats.
  8. MuddyFunster, I posted this info weeks ago, the info was different to some other posters info, haven't said anything to Skoda UK about it, waiting for them to get back to me.
  9. Nosnehm, Skoda UK assured me that the KPH/MPH solution is being looked at but no timescale given.
  10. Fox 2319. Hi, no, this car doesn't have the Matrix set up (not standard). My other half just told me that her phone isn't "ringing through the car", just been to check and can't find anything in "settings", called service dept at dealership and they suggested deleting the phones connected to the system then doing a unit reboot (holding the on/off button for 10 secs) and then reconnecting the phones, will check later if it's a "fix". Only problem we had previously with the phone was the connection kept "dropping off" but seemed to be solved with the updates carried out at the dealership.
  11. As I posted previously, the car was in for the update and everything seems to be fixed apart from the KPH/MPH, customer services contacted me to say they were still working on a solution for that and they would contact the garage when it's available.
  12. Received update from Skoda Customer Services yesterday informing me that they are still waiting on a software update (no time scale given).
