Hi I have a question specifically for car mechanics. I have a gearbox oil leak on skoda 2015 1.6 tdi car 2015 . I have been told need to replace my gear box. Is there anything I can do to solve the leak without as this will cost minimum a few thousand pounds if reconditioned or upto £800 if I replace with a salvaged one. The leak is between number 30 and 31 in the photo. Can this problem be rectified by any normal mechanic Or does this require a gearbox specialist? How many hours will this take to sort out and at what price? Any advice and suggestions is appreciated.

Hi I drive a Skoda octavia 2.0 tdi 2012 car has done 120,000 miles. My central locking swith on cabin is faulty. Upon starting my car I can lock the door with this cabin central locking switch if I am stationary but once locked the switch does not unlock even with multiple attempts. Any idea if the central locking switch is faulty or is it a different problem? Your input is much appreciated. Thanks
