  1. Apologies for the delay in response, has been a very very busy last few days. Looked at that and am definitely prepared the spend the money to get the docs, as it's definitely worth it. I was not entirely certain though the downloaded docs would differ from the ones provided in the 'public internet' domain. Thank you to @gon and @Extreme3d for confirming the measurements are indeed missing from their docs too, saving me a few quid. Will work with panel beater I have to perform the checks needed to confirm the frame is straight. They have their tricks of the trade. All in all unless we have a Skoda service tech here whom potentially has access to this info there is little hope this will be freely available thus the the thread can be closed.
  2. Indeed that is a fantastic example. Looks brand new Good luck with the reno and please keep us updated on your progress....
  3. Thank you for your help everyone, greatly appreciate it. Will sum up the costs of the upgrade parts and make a decision if it's worth it to go through the upgrade.
  4. Thx Wlad69 ... Poznań is OK, I much prefered Melbourne, Australia. Lived there for 25 years or so and returned to Poland 10 years ago now.
  5. Nice ... Seems rust free from the picture ...
  6. SashaGrace, just wanted to ask a couple of questions about the Virtual Cocpit swap you did. The recipient car is a Octavia III? Do you know the VC part #, as I noticed there a few of these around. In terms of the wiring, is it plug and play or does this also require a wiring harness update? Lastly did you get the map mode working, if yes what was the fix.
  7. Indeed mate. I saw this vRS and immediately thought I want it for a channel project, as I just sold my 2018 Subaru BRZ tS. As always though approach the purchase with a cool head and was able to get a good deal on it, so here it is. Looking forward to fixing it up and driving it. I do want to do as much myself as possible, within limits. Am no mechanic or panel beater, more of an IT guy I did my wife's Yeti, dashboard replacement a few years ago and as you say the seat belts also needed to be replaced. Here in Poland these are usually sold in a package, ie: dash, 3 x airbags and 2 front seat belts. Just got myself a copy of the service manual for the dash replacement, am still looking for the front frame measurement outline so once the car damaged components are stripped I can measure the frame up to check if it needs to go onto a frame. If you'd have access to such info I'd sure appreciate it.
  8. Haha ... good on you. The Volvo is also a great car Welcome back ..
  9. Welcome on board. We also have a Yeti in the family a 2010, my wifes wheels. We love it.
  10. Wow a 105 L ... nice. Good luck with your project Welcome on board.
  11. Welcome on board !!! Nice Scout ...
  12. Hi everyone, I have purchased an accident damaged Octavia vR3 mk3. The car has some front and side damage, not too severe but enough to warrent a front frame/apron measurement check to ensure nothign is out of whack. Ive been sifting though the web and have come up a little short. So I have the measurements as per below, but what I don't have is the image showing the points between where these measurements need to be taken. (see below). Am hoping someone on this form might be able to upload this. Would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Dariusz
  13. Hi gents ... Sure here are some pics of the damage. I'll get more detailed ones once the disassembly starts. For now I know I need a new bonnet/hood (depends where you are in the world) :), right fender, fender liner, front bumper, right head lamp, right fog light, grill, front support, rebar, radiator set, fan ans shroud, dashboard, 3 front airbags (passenger, driver, driver knee), windshield. Probably a set a other bits and pieces of trim that are not currently obvious or visible. A fun project all in al. Let me know what you guys think. By the way if anyone has access to a mk3 Octavia workshop manual I'd be happy to obtain the front measurements to be able to check if there is any damage to the frame/aprons which needs to be pulled out. The project for me is not an urgent one, still got my day job to do and 2 other cars to drive ... Cheers ..
