  1. Front passenger door on my 2018 Karoq 1.5 TSI SE Technical stopped locking/unlockiing reliably. The lock was replaced this week by my local independent garage and now working properly. Total bill was £314.
  2. Thanks for the link Mistac. I'd already upgraded the boot light with the LED one from my old MK IV Golf and no problem. My difficulty was that I couldn't get a clear view of the +ve contacts to ensure the LEDs in the rear interior light had gone into the correct place. For what it's worth, I also checked before hand to establish which bulb contacts were +ve. They're the ones closest to the switch assembly in the centre of the light.
  3. Just spotted my details are incorrect. My car is a Karoq 1.5 TSI Technical.
  4. Be careful! I caused a total failure of the interior and boot lights after swapping the filament roof lights with LEDs. The positive connections for the festoon bulbs are partially hidden by the the function switch. One of the bulbs was not quite in the correct position and shorting to earth. Fortunately, there was no lasting damage. The original filament festoon bulbs are back in place and everything is now working as it should. The front lights are plug-in bulbs with “W” base and not so easy to get it wrong, but I have left them as original after my experience with the roof lights.
  5. My long serving 02 plate Golf GTI PD150 with 170K miles had to go! It still ran like new but starting to get too many electical gremlins. So... have just acquired an 18 plate Karoq SE with the Technical package. It's like going from a WW1 biplane to a jumbo jet. I'm still trying to find my way around all the tech stuff so please be gentle if I ask any daft questions. Happy days, John
