  1. Not posted for a while and got myself a new car. Over 15k now since March and about to go on for service. I was going to report the issue I have with the ACC to the dealer but thought if anyone else is seeing it? I have now stopped using the ACC because it's to unreliable. So my issue is I drive the M4 for a couple of junctions every day. When the traffic has no speed restrictions the car seems to "detect" a change. So your driving along at 70 and then randomly it detects 50 and it starts to brake, very dangerous in busy traffic. Then it may detect 70 again after a mile or so. It sometimes goes to and from these a few times in a few miles. Not very helpful. The other day ( and this is why I have stopped using it ) it detects 100! So we start hard acceleration. I had to switch it off to return to legal speed limit. Are we a testing this technology for Skoda or something, because like a number of comments in other ACC issues, not sure I trust it. As ever
  2. Yes, I had my locks replaced as the car would not lock or locked itself when I closed a door.
  3. Just wanted to give an update. The Service department think it is a fault with the Drivers door handle. They have rebooked the car in for 3 days to replace it! But now the car locks nearly every time I use it. I don't even touch that handle and the doors lock. I was at the boot yesterday and the car locked. I was sat in the drivers seat and the doors just locked.
  4. Mine has also started doing this. Mine has reset to 00:00 a number of times now but normally after about a minute or so it reverts to the correct time.
  5. Hi all. My 2019 car has stated doing something very odd. I get out of the car and shut the drivers door then the whole cars locks without me pressing any of the lock buttons..... Door or key. The mirrors are set to fold in when locked but they don't in this case, as it is as if the lock button on the dash has been pressed but no one is in the car. The key is in my pocket and the car just locks but the mirrors don't fold and the hazards do not flash. The door handle will not unlock the car, only the unlock button on the key fob. The car is due service so I will raise it with them, but just wondered if anyone had had this issue. Thanks.
  6. We have two models in the family. An SEL manual and my Sportline DSG with ACC. Mine does have this feature when the car in front moves off but not noticed this on the manual. I thought it was linked to the ACC. But my ACC doesn't activate if the battery is low. (long story). But the car still started when the car in front moved, so must be linked to another system. The auto park brake system that applies the brake of it thinks you are going to hit something maybe?
  7. I was told when I had my last (18k) service that my air con was due service in the next 11 months. my car is only a year old. So interested in following this. Not sure I have had any of my A/c systems serviced before...... Like the comments before....If there is an issue then I could understand.
  8. Cooling kit? My dealer farmed the work out to http://www.alltowbarsberkshire.co.uk/ I dealt with them directly (no dealer interaction) and I paid them directly. They were excellent. I assume they programmed the car as required as the sensors now know the trailer is connected. What is the cooling kit? No one noted the requirements for one before I read here.
  9. what a waste of time. Dealer tells me "determined as outside influence" so nothing done about it...... Contacted Skoda UK - no help..... get a second dealer to take a look .....unbelievable!🤬
  10. very possible Chris. I do like to put my coat on it when closed, but bit of a pain to have to keep removing and leaving at home..... May have to look at leaving it out?
  11. More of a question really and one that means my car is less "practical" than my wife's. We both have MY19 Karoq cars. Mine is the Sportline 4x4 and hers is an SE-L. Mine have fixed rear seats and hers has the Varioflex seats. I get all these differences but the one that bugs me most is the boot cover. Hers has the retractable version which is great for quick removal (opening) but mine as the "standard" shelf that I have to completely remove and leave at home to carry the dog..... why is this? Why cant they be the same? I can't seem to think of any reason for them to be different? As the back side trims are different it appears a retro fit one would be impossible. Anyone got any idea..... Images not our cars... taken from the web.
  12. You have inspired me @Rsrob your changes look great! I have just purchased the badges - are the letters easy to get off and replace? How did you keep them straight and the spacing correct?
  13. That maybe so Rockinghorse and I agree, but when they come with the car as standard, and to replace them with something else would cost more..... not much we can do 😞 the only way is for them to replace them with fully painted alloys on all cars.
  14. I have now raised my issue with my dealer as my car is going in for first (20k) mile service in a week or so. They have taken my images and will "see what we can do".... I will update....
  15. Loving the look. I have the same car and always thought they would look better with red. Which paint did you use? Thanks, Darren
