Your welcome Mark anytime 😊. The skoda dealer I got the car from have been very good since I went with them 3 years ago when I got the Karoq. It did take a couple of weeks to get my Kamiq booked in but that's only because I needed a courtesy car and things are abit slower at the moment since the lockdown. But they got my car on the Friday and was ready for me to collect on the Monday morning. Got my fingers crossed for you mate. But like I said in my last message you are better off going to dealer cause they have the tech guys there and if it needs new parts they can fix it. Hi Mark Yes it has been fixed they had to replace the head unit to fix it. Customer service at skoda connect was really great and they always responded back to my emails within a day. It was the manufacturers the skoda connect was waiting on which took time. I would suggest going back to your dealer as that would be a quicker option. I wish I went back to the dealer sooner. But now everything is all working as it should be. If you need anymore advice I am here for you.

UPDATE! My skoda kamiq finally went back to the dealer today for them to look at why my primary user wont activate. They did some tests and set up 2 dummy accounts to make sure its nothing I'm doing wrong and it's not my accounts causing the problems. Few hours later they phoned saying they are having the same issue and that it's nothing I'm doing wrong and that they will do some more testing. Couple of hours later they phoned with an update saying that they are going to have to replace the head unit and that I can keep the curtesy car till Monday. At about 4.55pm I had an email from skoda connect saying congratulations my car has now been activated for connect services 🙌 what a relief but they aren't open now till Monday so will have to wait till then to get my car back. Its been a long batter the past month and a half. My advice to anyone that encounters same issue is to go straight to your dealer as I wish I did as it was resolved in 7 hours. Thanks to everyone who tried to help I will definitely be staying on here. Will post a new thread on what I think about the new trafication app that's just been released for skoda

UPDATE!! I had the manufacturers get intouch 2 days ago saying that they are going to do remote diagnostics on my infotainment system to see why my primary user wont activate. They reset everything and said it should work now. I tried again to activate primary user and still getting the same message. They don't understand why its not activating they can see i have done everything right. But for some reason the car is blocking the activation and dont understand why. They know the car is booked in for the 19th at my dealer. They said if the dealer can't get it to activate then I can have a new car.

Hi thanks for your comment yes it was working OK until today now can't get it to work. I got the free 12 months but can't activate primary user at the moment as having issues with that. But when I got the car 25.1.21 the globe hasn't been dark grey and have had Internet access up until today. I have tried hotspot off my phone and tried the home Internet. But still stays dark grey

Hi I got my skoda Kamiq on the 25th of January this year and I can't activate primary user either. Done the same things as you and won't activate. Been in contact with customer service and they have been trying to get the manufacturer to help. They asked for video evidence of me try to set it up and the message coming up with when trying to activate. It has been a very frustrating few weeks with no results. The car is booked in for the 19th February for diagnostics to try and fix it but told them if its not sorted I want another car. I have paid 30.000 for this car and 17 features are blocked including the SOS button. I am disabled and the SOS is vital as it came in handy last year when I had the Karoq

Has anybody had any issues connecting there car to the Internet. The globe at the top of the screen is dark grey and it has a Esim. I have also tried connecting to my phone hotspot and my broadband hub but still no Internet. I have reset the car back to factory settings twice and still can't get it to connect to the Internet. Any advice on how to resolve this please?

Ye I have tried different ways nearly every day for 3 weeks and still can't get it to work. No one seems to know what's wrong with it I have even tried using my hotspot for Internet instead of using the cars Internet incase it was a connectivity issue but no that made no difference

Skoda connect spoke to me with an update saying the Manufacturers want video evidence of me accepting the terms and conditions of the package I have for the car. They also said to delete my account and reset the car to factory settings. Then start from scratch recording me activating the primary user. To which it still came up with try again or contact customer services. 3 weeks I have had the car and still can't activate primary user. I'm guessing the head unit must be faulty and needs replacing

I don't have a problem with android auto wireless its never faltered. Picked my car up on the 25/1/21 but I cannot get primary user to activate. No one at skoda connect or at the dealer knows how to sort it. Been battling with it for over a week tried creating new profiles tried activating over my own Internet rather than the cars own Internet but nothing. My profile loads up on the car ok but primary user wont activate. I need it to activate for all the advanced features so if anyone knows or have any tips then I would be grateful

I did just try what you said but still no luck with it 😕 they certainly haven't made it easy. If anyone else has any tips I would be really appreciated

Just I have tried everything from creating a new user, resetting back to factory, creating an account actually through the car and nothing. I have my profile just can't get the primary user to activate. Skoda dealer have finally said they will get a technician to sort it but its not until the 19th

How did you do it?

the dealers have said the Primary user needs to be activated first before they can activate the advanced features. im getting so frustrated with this now the dealers dont know how to sort it and skoda connect dont know how to sort it. All they have said is go back to dealers and te dealers say go to skoda connect. I have had such bad customer service this time round i have spent over £30.000 on this car spicifically for its features and i have this problem from the day i picked the car up.

I have a profile but to use all the other features like road side assistant and the honk and flash and few other features it says you need to be a primary user which won't activate as it says all the features are blocked and need to renew license. But I have a new license when I brought the car I paid for a year but like I say you need to be a primary user to activate it
