  3. Hi Lay, I just had the same problem, look my thread here:
  4. Hi guys, I’m giving some news about my Octavia's exhaust sound. I replaced the central resonator, and put in place a FOX resonator delete. Result: I spent only 117€ and I am very satisfied with the result! I read a few posts, concerning the resonator delete causing annoying "drones" around 2500rpm, but for me it's quite the opposite. I love that sound at 2500rpm, and I often accelerate between 2000-3000rpm, just to get it! Then DSG farts are much better too!!👌 At the same time, I mounted a turbo inlet pipe/hose, and a muffler delete, and it’s just perfect. Now I have a better turbo inlet sound, and a better exhaust sound, for less than 300€, not bad I think… Thank you all for the help, and have a nice weekend…
  5. Hi, thank you all for your suggestions. I think I will start with the resonator delete, because it’s the easier and cheaper solution, and after I decide if is good or not! I also saw a straight pipe to put inside the resonator, so visually the resonator is present, but physically deleted. It’s maybe the best solution to avoid issues with the annual inspection, so I don’t need to change the resonator every years. Take a look here: https://halle61.com/shop/abgasanlagen/mittelschaldaempfer/mittelschalldaempfer-attrappe-skoda-octavia-rs-5e/ What do you guys think?
  6. Like this: not bad for the price!!
  7. Hi, let's say I'm looking for an option to give it a little more voice. But since it’s my work car, I don’t want to waste 1000 €. I looked at the resonater delete suggested by Towelie, and it sounds interesting, and it costs $ 100-150€…
  8. Hi Towelie, thank you for your reply. Milltek is a good option, off course if we don't consider the price, like Supersprint or Remus. But, the problem is that here in Luxembourg I have to go every year with the car to the road legal inspection, and the car will not pass if I take a non resonated. Or, I will need to put the OEM exhaust every years, and it is not an option... Considering your second point, it's maybe a good option: buy only a resonator delete and every years replace it with the OEM resonator only to go to the inspection. You think that the sound will louder enough, only with the resonator delete?
  9. Good morning, I did a search on the forum, but I didn't find anything concrete. I have an MK3 Octavia VRS TSI 220, and I would like to give it a louder exhaust sound. I don't want anything exaggerated because I'm no longer 20 years old, I just wanted to improve the (real and not soundaktor) exhaust sound a bit and get better DSG farts. if possible without ruining me €€. Any thoughts?
  10. Good morning, just to let you know, that my cabin heating issue is solved. the problem was with the shut off valve N82 (and not cutt-off valve ), that was blocked in close position on idle! Replaced the valve (4H0121671D), and now I have cabin heating after only 1-2 km instead of 15 km. Thank you all for the support, and have a nice weekend!!
  11. Hi Nidza, this part on your picture is new on my car, so I suppose that it is OK. as said before, on the cooling system of my Octavia almost everything is new, only the hoses, cutt-off valve N82, and the recirculating water pump V51 were not changed. I already changed the heating core and purged the coolant. Now, I will replace the N82 because it is easier to replace and cheaper. If the problem is not solved, the last thing left to change is the V51. And, I hope that isn’t an adaptation on the HVAC or engine ECU that is not good, otherwise I will have spent money for nothing…
  12. Good morning Gaz, I took time to read your threads, and they are interesting and helpful. My Octavia had almost the same problems like yours, but with the first owner. I bought the car 2 months ago, with a new engine and new water pump. The original engine was burned, caused by a water pump problem, and Skoda changed the entire engine, water pump, and the full coolant system, for free. But, as it took several months to diagnose and repair, the first owner had to buy a new Kodiaq to replace the faulty Octavia. So, I have a car from 2015 and 115.000km, but with a all new engine. Everything works fine on the car, only the problem with the interior heating is present. I already ordered a new cutt-off valve 4H0121671D , and when arrived I will replace it, and let you know if the problem is gone, or not. Thank you for your help, and have a nice weekend…
  13. Hi Gaz, could you explain which valve are you talking about? I suppose that you talk about the cut-off valve N422? ( or N82 that is the same) Thank you
  14. Hi, I have a interior heating problem with my Octavia 2.0 TSI from 2015. The heater takes too long to start giving me hot air through the vents, about 10-15 km (7-10 miles)!! The coolant temperature gauge rises very quickly to 90 degrees +/- 2 km (1,5 miles) and stay at 90 all the time, but the hot air in the vents arrives much later. To compare, with my 2 other cars ( 2013 BMW 320d, and 2017 Skoda Fabia TDI) I start to have hot air on the vents after 3-4 km (2-3 miles). After 10-15 km, the heater works normally and heats the car interior well! I have already replaced the heater radiator and purged the coolant with G13, but it didn't help. I also specify, that I have no error code with the VCDS, and the coolant level is OK. I have looked at the cooling system, and there is a coolant cut-off valve (N82 or N422), and a coolant circulation pump (V51) between the main coolant pump and the heater radiator. Do you think the problem could be with one of that two components? I don't think so, otherwise I would have no heating at all, no? Did any of you have the same problem? Thank you all, for help...
  15. Good morning, I am new on the forum, and wanted to say Hello! Owner of 2 Skoda's, one 2017 Fabia Monte Carlo 1.4 TDI, and one Octavia III VRS TSI 220 from 2015, and a BMW F30 2013. Nice weekend for you all...
