Just talked to my dealer: 'Skoda factory now is running in two shifts to deliver' I guess either dealers are not informed or usual- internet is lying.

You are right i guess. But either way i like to drive not to be driven, sure these features are idiot proof driving features, i prefer to feel vibrations if something is wrong with car, that has saved me couple of times, once when my front wheel was loose i felt it on steering wheel and every winter occasionally i feel some snow in my rims, that needs to be cleaned out. So for some that have no idea how car works it is nice to have, but for some that like to feel road and car this is painful, that being said i would like to have option to turn that thing off and it would save it on car user. I have not read any EU regulations or rules, so in this case there is no escape from this, if you are right. I will see how it will go in 4 weeks. Anyone knows, if coding is done on car, to change some settings, for example, default start-stop=off, would that void warranty? there are multiple opinions on internet, i would like to hear real experience.

I was able to test Canton today, my friend got regular octavia with it. Before i start i do not listen classical music or rock, for me decent bass is a must, since now i have custom sub in the back of the car. So Canton does not provide any bass at all, i felt more bass from door speakers that from sub in the back(we checked all settings to make sure its maxed out), this is extremely disappointing, since to get canton i needed to get spare wheel. I do not think brake in for speakers will change that. Other than that sound is jus ok. BWM harman kardon option on most 3 series is around 500eur, which is miles better than canton. BTW, his apple carplay was not working in wireless mode, with cable it was not starting properly either. As a bonus i found that all assists can not be turned off and saved so every time i will start car it will have all these stupid lane assists or emergency stop on by default, since i should have car after 3-4 weeks, there is nothing i can do, but if i would have to place new order i would probably pay bit more to get bit more. Friend told me that sometimes when you slow down to cross speed-bump like 5km/h automatically turns on front parking sensors, meaning music stops..that is something that could be changed by software, and probably rest of annoying issues. I will not comment on emergency stops, where car decides to stop for no real reason, i would keep this off as well, but then to start driving i must spend like 5 minutes every single time to change settings over and over again...coding is possible, but that voids warranty. damn.

Glad that you are ok Mark, I would not suggest to drive that car before it has been fixed for sure. First thing i will do when i will get my RS, i will turn off all these 'assists', i hate when car starts to interfere. Only thing i can tolerate is adaptive cruise control. But i am not sure i will be able to turn all these things off, will see soon.

Now this is how it should come from factory. I ordered mine with black R18, for better ride quality, but i am pretty sure i will look for some decent aftermarket option, since all OEM rims do look awful in my opinion.

after reading all comments, i would like to express my opinion for tfsi i would suggest to change oil every 7-10k km (4.5k-6k miles) depending on how heavy your foot is. there is no oil that can be used tor 15-20k, sure if you do not care about engine health after few years, that is different story. as well i would strongly suggest to change oil not based on KM/Miles but on seasonality, especially places where temperatures goes from +20 to -20. ============ that being said for current car, which is diesel volvo i do change my oil after every 5-6k km,(lots of city driving, meaning sitting in traffic, with engine running) as well i do make sure starting winter i have fresh oil in engine. Car is remapped, DPF deleted and being driven accordingly car is almost 300k km on clock, engine works like Swiss watch, because of proper oil changes.

just got an update from dealer. Placed order 8th Feb 2021. RS DSG Build week 13 (1st week of April) + 2/3 weeks delivery.

Here in Latvia, we have same, we can get alcantara for 1800eur, that being said i ordered memory cloth seats for 800.

If you can get some car that is in dealership then sure. Otherwise long delivery times will be everywhere.

what options you have? maybe that changes everything i ordered: HB, tfsi 2.0 dsg, canton, memory seats(middle option), kessy, quartz grey, r18, 3zone climat,

That actuator should be easy fix, like i mentioned before. That explains why in my first drive i did not hear a thing when i pushed the car. Please give your thought on Canton, since i ordered car with it as well and had no chance to listen it before ordering. I placed order 8th February.

congrats on getting car, when you placed order? do you have canton sound system? as for actuator, there are probably 2 options either some fuse you can remove or code that thing. but i must say i am surprised that even in normal mode its on, i did not observe actuator sound while i had my test drive
