Sorry when I said a blast I meant it figuratively not literally. A blast as in I’ll give the car a longer run rather than a short trip. thanks for the other advice I’ll check levels first thing in the morning.

Good evening all, Sorry if this has been covered before. I have a 1 litre Octavia Mark 4 and last week I got the error to top up with 1 litre of engine oil and drive on. I did that and the yellow warning light eventually went off. Now itd saying to reduce oil level. Ive took out 500ml and the dipstick is bang on but the yellow error light wont go off. I have the ambition dash so I cant use the tip thats online where you hold down the right toggle buttons etc. Any help will be appreciated. Car is due to be serviced end of January next year. Here ya go for location of the catches

When you lft up the boot (So the back window i at head level....to the left and the right are the 2 catches...There is a circle in the middles. I just sprayed grease into there. I also compressed the spring with my hand by pressing the tab up and down and sprayed around the plastic that rubbed off the plastic outer. Hope this helps

Thanks to all that replied. I went out and greased those two boot catch things. Hasn't made a sound since. Thanks again Gar

Apologies if this topic has been covered before and please feel freelto remove it Admins. My 2021 Ovtavia has an awful rattle and creaking noise which seems to be coming from the boot. Its like the catch is loose. Anyone have this issue and is there a fix for it. Or is it something else completely Cheers Gar

Good morning all. Picked up my new Octavia 2 weeks ago and the sPin is driving me mad. I get in and press start stop and the User screen pops on asking for sPin...pop it in and click on the save box and off we go. Then when I stop to park up and turn of it says its not protected. Ive gone into setting and clicked save sPin numerous times. Anyone else having this isssue and do you know fix? Cheers Gar
