  1. @Black vRS Oct last oil change at 180k km. I haven't done any DSG adaptation since I've gotten the car (around 3 years ago) and don't think the previous owner has done it either. Would you recommend it in this case? And is it done through VCDS?
  2. Here's the video https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipNr5oTo9d0gxnkNiw7tdK_qhCDqjBVoVNs6zMv1xxEksYVxtID382h0ekHq-w4LGA/photo/AF1QipM9-dk_EMu3Pj9T1_1naMjEwZSj3mDisJBzoK8W?key=QW90eGpBNHR2Yi1aanF3R3l2TGE5RFpzellKYzJB Hello everyone. My car is a 2010 Octavia DSG estate. 2.0 16v diesel with 140 hp (engine type CFHC). About 220.000 km on the clock. I need some help identifying where this noise is coming from my engine. It especially happens after turning the car on in the morning and when it is colder outside. After a bit of time, it goes away on its own. Could it be a dual mass flywheel issue? I'm also encountering some other DSG oddities - in low revs in second gear the car feels like it's ridding on a "half-pressed clutch" (there's no instant and progressive acceleration - the revs go up initially, then down, then finally up, on the same level of throttle pressing). It also seems to want to "lurch forward" when braking in second gear (feels like there's little engine braking when in low revs in second gear when applying the brakes). Could all these be connected? Would very much appreciate any answers
  3. Would VCDS work? I do have a USB KKL cable. How can I check if it's a glow plug issue?
  4. Hello everyone. The car goes just fine with no problems at all, and no check engine light as well. 20211222_133218 (2) (1)_Trim.mp4
  5. Does the clock spring need replacement? Or could it be fixed? I googled around a bit but couldn't understand much of it
  6. Hello everyone. I've been hearing this noise when turning the steering wheel at low speeds and fully stopped, mostly when the steering wheel is at 180 degrees. I fell into a huge pothole right before it started as I never had it before. It doesn't affect the driving in any way, it just disturbs me and would like to get it fixed. Please watch below the attached video. Anyone got any ideas? WhatsApp Video 2021-11-15 at 5.37.44 PM.mp4
  7. Regarding your first reply, do you think I could give it a try with VCP? Are you aware of any blogs I could read more? Or should I leave it to the more professional people?
  8. Ah that's a shame, I have a VCDS cable and thought it could be a quick workaround. Nevertheless thanks a lot for the reply. I couldn't find this info anywhere on the internet.
  9. Sorry If I haven't worded it properly. Basically, I want the parking (position) lights and the daytime running lights to be on at the same time when the light switch is on "0". I got this photo off of google to better illustrate if I'm not explaining it well enough. I want the circled parts to be on at the same time.
  10. Hello everyone. Might there be a way to activate the parking lights and daytime running lights at the same time with VCDS? I have a Mk2 FL Octavia MY2011. I have daytime running lights and would like the parking lights to be on as well when the lights are on the "0" switch. It wouldn't bother me if the tail lights would go on as well, if there's no way for the front parking lights to light up individually.
  11. Hello everyone. I recently bought a 160k miles Octavia Mk2 facelift. The car seems in good shape overall however I have this problem of breaks squeaking (whistling?) a lot in low speeds. It's worse in the morning and much worse in rainy days. I think it comes from the rear brakes, slightly pulling the handbrake while the car is rolling gives a constant whistle. There's no squeak in high speeds, and after I go on a longer trip (60 miles) the squeak is completely absent after that for the whole day. Then the next morning it starts again. What do you think could be the issue? Maybe a break pad change? I noticed there's a huge corrosive lip on the rear brakes compared to the fronts. Do you think that could be the issue? I'll attach some images. Thanks in advance to everyone.
