  1. Hi all, I'm considering a Karoq 1.5 TSI DGS engine but having trouble getting comparable mpg info. On Autotrader, a lot of these cars (new) are listed as 50.5 mpg combined, e.g. this link (see Running Costs). And Honest John lists the official mpg of this engine as 50.4 as well, see here. However if I build this car on the Skoda configurator, it shows me 42.9 mpg combined, and the real world Honest John reviews say real value of 39.4 mpg. I can also find apparently identical models on Autotrader (e.g. here) listing 40.4 mpg. I know mpg depends on type of driving and some additional extras, but I just want to find a number I can compare with some other cars, and can't am confused by the disagreement in even the official figures, so I want to check there hasn't been an engine upgrade I'm not aware of. Thank you
  2. Thank you, both very interesting. Think they sold me on the engine and then sold me off the touchscreen/voice control!
  3. Hi everyone, a search of this forum didn't show anything so I wanted to ask if anyone has any experience of the MK4 Octavia mild hybrid engine? I am tentatively researching for a new car (estate) and this one has come up as a good value option. Problem is I cannot find any independent reviews of this engine. I'm worried it might be underpowered, have some technical issues or may just be a new engine where there simply not much public information on. Appreciate any views if you own one or have done a test drive - how does it feel, would it struggle to pull away on the motorway with a full boot and roof box, any issues? Thank you Mike
