  1. After weeks of waiting the customer service manager where I had the car from spoke to me today and said we need the car and will give you a courtesy car. After a few minutes of talking he decided that they would instead collect my car somewhere between 9 and 11 am on Monday and return it to me by 4.30 pm on the afternoon. I somehow doubt that the issues are being taken seriously if they believe they will be able to fix it all in a few hours. Wait for next weeks thrilling instalment.
  2. Well I got a stock email also and as yet no other personalised contact either by telephone or email has been forthcoming. Fingers crossed we all get satisfaction and not just a small few. The fact that we have (or at least in my case) settings for miles / mph that you can choose but they then do nothing could be either the hardware is not compatible or software is bugged. Let us hope that it is software although if it was do you not think that 8 months should have been long enough to patch the software and get it out?
  3. I imagine he works somewhere that has access to the system. More details on erWin are here erWin Skoda portal
  4. The trouble with being early adopters of a new facelift vehicle is that the new and improved Skoda may in fact not be improved at all. I like many others on here have had the front assist error come up within seconds of starting the car and been told it is due to fog/ice/dirt/tyre pressures/over steering/under steering or some other load of complete BS reason (as it appears to me that they have zero idea of what really causes the issue). I am happy these days to just get from A to B without an error message on my dash and a status display without 4 yellow tyres on the vehicle.
  5. I went to the Skoda update portal, entered my VIN number and was offered an update with a size of 6 Gb. Needless to say downloading the file has been a nightmare in its own right and required me to install an older 2011 Microsoft download Manager to actually be able get the whole file to download. Once downloaded and decompressed onto a SD Card I find that I can find no SD Card slot in my vehicle and if I put it into a USB Type C adapter and attempt the software install it never finds the update. Frankly although I like my car I am beginning to think it is too techie for its own good and it is an absolute nightmare to do even simple tasks. The fact that the Columbus menu has miles and miles per hour selectable boxes means nothing as the moment you accept them and go back up a level you find it still in km and kmh. Frankly I am beginning to feel like a beta tester of a car with driver assist functions that I do not trust, navigation software that is not fit for purpose and customer support that seem to want to deal with every case on an individual basis for fear that we might talk to each other and discover the lemons we have been sold.
  6. To add to the list being kept Device part number: 5E3035816 Hardware H56 Software 1668 Display unit hardware H44 Display unit software 2088 Navigation database 19.7 Media Codec 3.1.4
  7. I assume I have to sign up for a months trial to be able to do that?
  8. Also new to this forum and thread and like many on here stuck in kms on my Navigation system. Also be nice to get the kms and the postcode 'offroad' issue sorted.
