  1. AA should be able to detect and adapt to the size and aspect ratio of the screen in your car, no matter what phone its running on.
  2. Well, I don't think it's a matter of software version of the car, but of the AA app on the phone, since I believe it controls the appearance of AA on the cars screen. But I could be wrong ;-) BTW you can swap content of the two parts of the split screen.
  3. Looks a bit odd to me. On the newest version AA will fill the screen, but will be split in two halves in a ratio 7/3. Each half will contain an app, typically google maps to the left and some other app like spotify to the right. Maybe you are running an older version of AA? Mine is 6.4.
  4. Well, that bit is true for mine, at least ;-)
  5. OK, so the conclusion seems to be, that there are two ways to answer a phonecall and hang up again. Either by going through a complicated series of clicks and sub-menus on the wheel. Or by taking your eyes of the road and reach over to touch the info-screen. Compared to my old Fabia, where I could just use a dedicated button on the wheel. That must be that thing they call progress......
  6. Hmm - but the car has run for just about a month? No heat or smell either. Anyway, since my last post the change to e-mode has actually worked flawles. So no I just hope that the problem was temporary ;-)
  7. In my Fabia there was a dedicated phone button on the steering wheel. That seems to have disappeared on the Octavia IV. Does anybody know if its possible to answer a phone call any other way, than reaching over to touch the screen? That goes for both the built in phone app as well as with Android Auto.
  8. None of the above. Here is a typical situation: I start up in e-mode and drive on in that for maybe 5-10 kilometers. I reach a bit of motorway, and as i floor the pedal the petrol engine kicks in. I get of the motorway, and cruise at about 40 km/h under the exact same conditions as when I was in e-mode before. The battery is halfway charged. But the car refuses to go back into to e-mode.
  9. It may happen even with a battery more than half charged. But as I wrote before: its a bit annoying, but no big deal. After a few minutes of stubborn refusal, it will normally accept my wish to go electric again.
  10. Thanks for the suggestion. But the temperature was definitely over 2 degrees.
  11. I don't think so. Then I should have shifted into it by mistake. But you are right: it could be the reason. I will check that, the next time it happens.
  12. Hi A couple of times I have experienced my iV refusing to shift from hybrid (petrol) to e-drive via the mode panel. I just says something like "Sorry, e-drive is not available for the moment. Please try again later" (or rather the danish equivalent of that). It's no big deal, but I wonder what is the reason? There is lots of power on the battery, and I'm driving in city traffic, typically 50 km/h. There seems to be no obvious reason, why I can't go electric?
  13. Do you mean the ability to start the aircon remotely via phone app? My iV+ has that - and (so far) it works
  14. Octavia iV+, bought aprox. one month ago from dealers stock. Seems to have been produced around November last year. The car in itself is fine. Hybrid system works flawlessly. No major issues with assistant systems, incl. ACC so far. However: No wireless AA. But AA works fine when phone is plugged in, so I have sort of accepted that. What I have not accepted, though, is numerous bugs in the Infotainment system, such as: unexpected reboots, sometimes no connection to Skoda Connect, sometimes no picture from rear camera, attempt to play music from USB-key makes the system reboot, etc., etc....... The errors are a daily experience, and instead of enjoying my new car, it has become a source of aggravation :-(
  15. @janis: Thank you for showing us. And congratulations - your unit has a device part number that ends on E. For those of us unfortunate enough to have an earlier version (C or below), it doesn't work.
  16. That is my understanding too - unfortunately......
  17. Sorry for not answering you right away. But if you are still willing to check your SW-version, you can do that in "Settings > System informations". Mine looks like this (in Danish):
  18. I guess you have a newer software version? Mine is 1668. I've tried connecting with a OnePlus Nord too. Works fine with cable, but wireless is impossible.
  19. I've tried two diffrent USB-C sticks. None of them works. The infotainmentsystem crashes when I try to play mp3's.
  20. You just saved my day - it worked! Thank you! Now I'm just wondering why the h... the dealer didn't tell me to do that, when I phoned them earlier today??
  21. How can I do that? It doesnt respond to anything?
  22. Glad to hear that I'm not alone ;-) See this thread:
  23. Well, this morning my infotainment died complety. So, at least I dont have to worry about playing media files for at while now :-(
  24. I've tried both an Intenso and a Kingston stick. Both brand new, both works flawlessly on different PC's - no off them works in the car :-( PS: How did you manage to cram a USB-A stick into a USB-C port? ;-)
  25. If the mediaplayer supports gapless playback, a possible workround might be to split the mix into several tracks and play them as a playlist. Then you could at least skip from track to track.
