  1. Does anyone know where I can obtain the dvd or just the file to burn to DVD for the V17 RNS 510 Headunit?
  2. Hi Pab567 Be great to hear your recommendations
  3. Thanks for the information, do you happen to know if the old Columbus headtunit and be replaced with a newer Amundsen unit?
  4. I have a 2013 Skoda Superb 4x4 Estate and I am trying to update the Maps, I have downloaded the relevant update files from the Skoda Portal onto a 32G SD card but I cannot see on the unit how you initiate the update, and help much appreciated. Nick
  5. Arbury Skoda dealership
  6. I have several warning lights that come on when starting that remain on, Electronic Stability Control, Tyre Pressure Light, ABS Light, Power Steering & Bend Lighting Function (AFS). They confirmed a sporadic fault in ABS, which may be down to a communication issue withe the BCM. Can anyone give me an idea of the cost of a new BCM, and is it easily accessible?
  7. What recommendationsdo members have for obd2 scanners suitable for Superb Mkii Diesel Estate?
  8. Thanks for detailed reply. I do not have a sun roof solar panel. The Car is the Elegance and does have the Climatronic, I belive it to be the automtic variety.
  9. I had the same issue and when I removed the old fan it was just seized, so a good squirt of WD40 and soon it was running as good as new. Does you model have the variable resistor fitted, mine doesn't.
  10. Hi All After repairing my Fan Blower I foolishly left a thin black wire (possible an earth of some kind) loose. It has since become detached from the RH end of where it connected. I do not even have any idea what it relates to, so anyone out there. Mine is a 2013 4x4 Estate (Diesel).
  11. Thanks for your detailed reply. I have spoken to a workmate who has recommended one of your 'back street' wheel restoration guys charging the sort of amount you mention so in the new year that will be where I shall be headed. This is obviously a common problem, Has your vehicle got low profile tyres? I suspected that was part of the problem.
  12. I have a 2013 Skoda Superb 4x4 with 18" Sirius Alloy wheels. They are fitted with low profile tyres and have suffered mild scrapping from kerbs and pot holes, For the last twelve months or so I have had to add air to the tyres on a regular basis, i.e every few days. Recently my front nearside tyre deflated totally. I reinflated the tyre and took the car to my local garage, a specialist in Audi-VW vehicles. He has told me that the alloys have started to loose their powder coating covering, and the are areas of bubling on all the road wheels. It seems that the alloy wheels have become perforated allowing air to escape. The only solution seems to be to have the wheels cleaned off and re-powder coated, at a cost of around £300.00. I am interested to know is any other Skoda owners with allo wheels have had similar problems and if this is a common fault with alloy wheels once water and road salt can get at the uncovered alloy material?
  13. 6 years old. The problem seems to have gone away, I regularly put the battery on charge as I tend to do only short journeys. I realise that the battery very likely needs replacing.
  14. My Skoda Superb Mk 2 has recently started to develop a tendency to report a number of warning light issues. They are the same one each time and disappear after a short while and do not always appear. The systems they report show no signs of any problems, power steering, tyre pressure, ESC, and turning light, Any notions as to what this might indicate. I have an idea its damp getting into the connections.
  15. Mine is the fully automatic one, so thanks for the information. The pictures were brilliant too.😄
